ラー、７は偏光フイルタ、８は波長フイルタ、９
はレンズ。なお、図中、同一符号は同一、又は相
当部分を示す。

Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. エルビウムをコアに添加した石英からなるエル
    ビウム添加フアイバと、波長１．４８μｍ帯又は
    波長０．９８μｍ帯を発振するすくなくとも３個
    の励起用半導体レーザと、前記励起用半導体レー
    ザの中の２個の光を合波する第１の光合波手段と
    、波長１．５μｍ帯の光信号を入力する第１の光
    フアイバと、波長１．５μｍ帯の光信号を出力す
    る第２の光フアイバと、光入力信号と励起光を合
    波する第２の光合波手段と、光出力信号と励起光
    との方向を変える光方向性結合手段とを備え、前
    記２つの励起用半導体レーザと、前記第１の光合
    波手段と、前記第１の光フアイバと、前記第２の
    光合波手段とが光学的結合をするように前記エル
    ビウム添加フアイバの一端に配置し、かつ、少な
    くとも１個の前記励起用半導体レーザと、前記光
    方向性結合手段と、前記第２の光フアイバとを光
    学的結合をするように前記エルビウム添加光フア
    イバの他端に配置し、少なくとも１個の光信号入
    力側の励起用半導体レーザを含む２個以上の励起
    用半導体レーザによりエルビウム添加フアイバ中
    のエルビウムイオンを励起して光利得を得ること
    を特徴とする光フアイバ増幅器。
