Abstract

PURPOSE:To make work highly effective and improve reliability by the tip part of the center conductor of a coaxial cable with the center contact of a connector main body with soldering from the outside of a U-shaped groove, and conducting a shield cap to a caulking receiver. CONSTITUTION:The center conductor 4 of a coaxial cable 2 and the center contact 3 of a connector main body 1 are joined by setting a predetermined dimension from the center conductor 4 of a coaxial cable 2 to a caulking receiver pipe 7, deciding the length of an insulating pipe 11, and passing the center conductor 4 through a center conductor insulating part 9 to be soldered to the center contact 3 of a main body from the U-shaped groove of the insulating pipe 11. Consequently the buckling of the center conductor 4 can be prevented with the insulating pipe 11, even if a shield cap 10 is pushed down after soldering, to keep the caulking position of a shield wire 6 constant. This permits the effective and complete contact of the shield wire 6 and the shield of the coaxial cable 2.

Next, the shield cap 10 is lowered, and the shield cap 10 is press-fitted into the press-fit convex portion 5 using a press-fit jig and fixed. Furthermore, the shield wire 6 of the coaxial cable 2 and the shield cap 1
Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above-mentioned conventional shield cap mounting method, when lowering the shield cap 10, the crimp receiving pipe 7 does not hold the shield cap 10 in place. When pressed down, the inner diameter of the cap may get caught and come off, or the center conductor 4 and center conductor insulator 9 may buckle, making it impossible to determine the position of the crimping receiver vibrator 7. The present invention solves such conventional problems, and improves work efficiency and reliability by crimping and positioning the shield cap of the coaxial cable. It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved method of attaching a shield cap to a coaxial connector.

Operation The present invention has the following effects due to the above configuration. In other words, set the dimensions from the center conductor of the predetermined coaxial cable to the caulking socket (eve), determine the length of the insulated pipe, pass it through the center conductor insulation part, and insulate it to the center contact of the main body. By soldering, the center conductor of the coaxial cable and the center contact of the connector body can be combined.

Next, a method of attaching the shield cap of the above embodiment will be explained. Pass the shield cap 10 through the coaxial cable 2 processed to predetermined dimensions, fit the crimp receiving pipe 7 between the shield wire portion 6 and the center conductor insulator 9, then pass the insulating pipe 11 through the center contact 3. Solder the center conductor 4 to. At this time, since the insulating pipe 11 has a U-shaped groove, the soldering work can be facilitated by inserting the center conductor 4 into the soldering pot of the center contact and aligning the U-shaped grooves. The soldering portion 15 can be hidden by rotating the insulating pipe 11 by half a turn as shown in FIG. 3(b).
