However, in the prior art described above, the cap is directly fitted to the cylinder.
As a mechanism for preventing the cap from coming off, a press-fitting mounting portion is simply formed on the side surface. For this reason, the cap is repeatedly subjected to axial impacts by the bump rubber, which causes a problem in that the mounting portion of the side surface gradually expands in diameter, weakening the fitting force, and causing the cap to come off.

Each exhaust hole 13B is connected to the bump rubber 11.
When the bump plate 14 collides with the bump plate 14, the air in the gap 12 is compressed, and in order to prevent it from entering the packing cap 3 from between the packing cap 3 and the piston rod 5 together with the surrounding dust, etc., this air and Dust and the like are discharged from the inside of the cylindrical member 13 toward the outside, and at the same time, the packing cap 3 and the like are provided with a cooling effect by air flow. Here, the cylindrical member 13 is made by pressing a metal plate of a predetermined thickness to form each protrusion 13A and each exhaust hole 13B, and then abutting both ends of the metal plate as shown in FIG. It is rolled into a cylindrical shape. In this case, the seams 13C at both ends of the metal plate do not need to be fixed by means such as welding.

Each locking portion 15E formed through the slits 15D, 15D on the lower end side is bent radially inward toward each exhaust hole 13B of the cylindrical member 13, and is latched to the upper end of each exhaust hole 13B. Because I did it like this,
For example, in the final assembly process after the painting process, etc., the cap member 15 is attached to the bump plate 14.
In addition, it can be easily fixed to the cylindrical member 13 and prevents problems such as the bump plate 14 falling out from the cylindrical member 13 together with the cap member 15 due to vibrations, shocks, or improper handling during transportation of the hydraulic shock absorber. It can definitely be resolved.

When each locking part 15E of the cap member 15 is crimped into each exhaust hole 13B of the cylindrical member 13, each locking part 15E is aligned and crimped while visually checking each exhaust hole 13B from the outside in the radial direction. This allows the caulking work to be performed easily and improves work efficiency. In addition, when the bump rubber 11 collides with the bump plate 14 and is elastically deformed when the piston rod 5 is contracted, air, etc. in the gap 12 and the cylindrical member 13 are removed together with dust from each exhaust hole 13B.
The air can be discharged to the outside through the air flow, and the air flow at this time can provide a cooling effect to the packing cap 3 and the like.

Here, on the lower end side of the cylindrical member 21, a plurality of protrusions 21 are located on both circumferential sides of each exhaust hole 21B.
A, 21A, ... are provided to protrude downward, and each protrusion 2
1A is fixed to the packing cap 3 using means such as resistance welding. Further, each exhaust hole 21B is formed, for example, three, with a predetermined interval in the circumferential direction of the cylindrical member 21, and each exhaust hole 21B
Each of the locking portions 15E of the cap member 15 described in the first embodiment is secured to the upper end of the cap member 15 by caulking means. Then, the cylindrical member 21
Almost similarly to the cylindrical member 13 described in the first embodiment, each protrusion 21A and each exhaust hole 21B are press-formed on a metal plate of a predetermined thickness, and then both ends of this metal plate are butted together. It is formed by roll forming into a cylindrical shape, and the seams 21C between both ends are abutted against each other without welding.

In each of the above embodiments, each locking portion 15E is formed on the lower end side of the cylindrical portion 15C of the cap member 15 through the slits 15D, 15D, but each slit 15D and each locking portion 15E are It is not necessary to provide each exhaust hole 1 of the cylindrical member 13, 21 by caulking the lower end side of the cylindrical portion 15C.
3B, 21B may be crimped, and in this case, the strength of the cap member 15 can be increased. Alternatively, for example, three locking portions may be provided to protrude downward from the cap member 15, and the lower end side of each locking portion may be caulked into each of the exhaust holes 13B, 21B. In this case, the cap member 15 does not necessarily need to be provided with the cylindrical portion 15C.

As detailed above, according to the present invention, a radial exhaust hole is formed in the cylindrical member fixed to the bump rubber receiver, and the cap member fixed to the lower surface of the bump rubber receiver is fitted onto the outer circumferential side of the cylindrical member. In addition, a part of the lower end side is used as a locking part, and the locking part is bent inward in the radial direction toward the exhaust hole of the cylindrical member, so that it can be locked, for example, during the final assembly process. By simply bending the locking portion and locking it in the exhaust hole, the cap member and the bump rubber receiver can be easily fixed to the cylindrical member, and not only can the cap member be securely prevented from coming off, but also workability can be improved. Further, the cylindrical member can be easily formed by press-forming exhaust holes and the like on a single metal plate and then roll-forming, and has various effects.
