<Prior art> Figure 4 shows a longitudinal cross-sectional front view of a conventional electric double layer capacitor, in which 1 is a metal cylindrical casing, 2 is a capacitor cell installed inside the casing,
One to several single cells are stacked and mounted depending on the purpose. At that time, a backing plate 3 is attached to the bottom of the casing
guess. 4 and 5 are two terminal plates attached to one end of the casing 1, and the terminal plate 4 has a smaller diameter than the terminal plate 5. The end plate of the resin case 6 is sandwiched between the terminal plates 4 and 5, and its peripheral wall is inserted into the casing 1 through the opening of the casing 1 and placed over the outside of the capacitor cell 2.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> In the conventional electric double layer capacitor as described above, when fixing the inner and outer terminal plates 4 and 5 to the casing 1, as shown in FIG. The molded electrically insulating resin case 6 must be installed between the two terminal plates 4 and 5, and the capacitor cell 2 must be housed within the resin case 6, which requires an extremely large amount of assembly time and requires close sealing. There was also the problem of inferiority.

<Means for solving the problem> This idea was made in order to solve the above problems. An injection hole is provided in the terminal board, and a fluid resin is injected through the injection hole. The resin is filled and hardened in the gap between the inner peripheral surface of the casing and the outer peripheral surface of the capacitor cell.

In the case of this invention, there are two holes 11 in the terminal board 4,
12 will be provided. Reference numeral 13 designates an electrically insulating plate having two holes 14 and 15 that match the holes 11 and 12 of the terminal plate 3, and a hole 16 through which the terminal 7 passes.

但し、孔15,16を共通にしてもよい。 However, the holes 15 and 16 may be shared.

Further, the terminal plate 5 is provided with an injection hole 17 that matches the hole 14 of the insulating plate 13, and a hole 18 larger than the holes 15 and 16 so that the terminal 7 passing through the hole 18 does not come into contact with the terminal plate 5. At the same time, this hole 18
The hole 15 of the insulating plate 13 is made to face.

When assembling the capacitor of this invention, first attach the patch plate 3 inside the casing 1 as before,
Next, a capacitor cell 2 consisting of a predetermined number of single cells is
into the casing 1.

Then, the terminal plate 4, the insulating plate 13, and the terminal plate 5 are fitted into the terminal side opening of the casing 1 in this order. At this time, the terminal plate 4 is inserted into the capacitor cell 2.
While pressing against the upper surface, the opening side periphery of the casing 1 is bent inward while slightly compressing the cell 2 crimped to the terminal plate 4 against its elasticity so that the periphery does not contact the inner surface of the casing 1. Each plate 4,
5 and 13 are fixed inside the casing 1.

<Effects> As described above, this invention provides an injection hole in the terminal plate attached to the casing, injects fluid resin through the injection hole, and injects the resin into the gap between the inner circumferential surface of the casing and the outer circumference of the capacitor cell. Since it is filled with and hardened, there is no need for a separate resin case to be inserted into the casing like the conventional one shown in FIG.

Therefore, the process of manufacturing the resin case can be omitted, and even during assembly, there is no need for a time-consuming process such as attaching the resin case, resulting in lower manufacturing costs.

In addition, since liquid resin is injected and hardened, it has the advantage of being highly airtight.

Furthermore, by sealing the inside of the casing, chemical and physical changes within the capacitor cell are reduced, which not only stabilizes the characteristics but also improves reliability.
