Conventionally, as a structure of a joint between a plurality of outer wall panels, etc., a structure as described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 127861/1984 has been known. As shown in FIG. 3, the structure of this joint is created by cutting out the ends of the outer wall panels 1', 1' and forming a sloped groove wall part 11' and a flat part 1.
2', and a joint material 2' made of a dry gasket is provided so as to span between the flat parts 12', 12'. The joint groove 3' provided with the joint material 2' has the same shape as the decorative groove 13' provided on the surface of the outer wall panel 1'.

However, in such a conventional joint structure, there is a step 31' between the end of the surface part 21' of the joint material 2' and the flat part 12' at the end of the outer wall panel 1', which prevents light from entering. Depending on the situation, a shadow could appear there. When this shadow occurs, the joint groove 3' looks different in relation to other decorative grooves 13' of the outer wall panel 1', and the joint becomes conspicuous.

In order to achieve the above object, this invention has a structure in which panels are provided with decorative grooves on their surfaces, and a joint structure in which a joint material is provided at the joints between the panels. A taper is formed on the part, a taper is formed on the back of the end of the surface of the joint material corresponding to this taper, and a joint groove is formed by providing the joint material between the panels so that both tapers are in contact with each other. The joint structure is characterized by having substantially the same shape as the decorative groove described above.

In this design, the joint material is provided so that the taper formed at the end of the panel contacts the taper on the back side of the end of the surface of the joint material, so that the level difference at the boundary between the panel and the joint material is greatly reduced. It becomes so small that no shadow is cast there. Therefore, the joint becomes inconspicuous.

In addition, if the panel is provided with decorative grooves on its surface, and the joint grooves formed by providing joint material between the panels have approximately the same shape as the decorative grooves, the grooves formed within the panel may be Since the decorative grooves and the grooves provided between panels are visually indistinguishable, they are valuable in terms of design.

In FIG. 1, reference numerals 1 and 1 are external wall panels made of hard wood cement boards, etc., on the surface of which decorative grooves 13 are formed at equal intervals. Exterior wall panel 1,
A joint material 2 made of a gasket is provided between the joints 1 and 1. The joint groove 3 formed with the joint material 2 provided has substantially the same shape as the decorative groove 13 described above. Therefore, in the outer wall panels 1, 1 as a whole, the joint grooves 3 are also seen as the decorative grooves 13, and it appears to be an integral outer wall in which a plurality of decorative grooves 13 are formed.

The joint material 2 consists of a T-shaped main body part 21 and seal parts 22 provided on both sides of the lower part thereof. The T-shaped main body portion 21 is made of a weather-resistant material such as hard rubber or hard vinyl chloride resin, and the surface portion 211 has the same color and shape as the bottom of the decorative groove 13. The back surface of the end portion of the surface portion 211 is tapered 212 . The seal portion 22 is made of a material with good sealing properties such as low hardness rubber or soft synthetic resin, and exhibits waterproof performance by being pressed against the ends of the outer walls 1, 1.

The joint groove 3 formed by providing the joint material 2 between the exterior wall panels 1 and 1 is formed by connecting the end of the surface portion 211 of the joint material 2 and the tapered portion 12 of the exterior wall panel 1.
There is no step difference in the boundary part 31. Therefore, no matter how the angle of the light ray changes, no shadow is cast on the boundary part 31, and the joint groove 3 and decorative groove 1 are always connected.
3 are recognized as having the same shape. Therefore, the outer wall panels 1, 1 look beautiful as an integral wall provided with the decorative grooves 13.

In addition, even if the distance between the outer wall panels 1 and 1 changes slightly or there is a slight difference in level between the outer wall panels 1 and 1, as shown in FIG. 212 slide into contact with each other to adjust the dimensions, and no step is created at the boundary 31. Therefore, as in the case of FIG. 1, the joint groove 3 is recognized as having the same shape as the decorative groove 13, and looks beautiful as an integral outer wall. Moreover, since the contact between the outer wall panel 1 and the joint material 2 is better than that of the conventional one, the waterproof performance is also improved.
