光素子と受光素子とを対面配置し、該発光素子か
ら照射される光を前記スリツトを介して間欠的に
受光素子で検出する構成とし、前記シグナルデイ
スクプレートの回転に伴う受光素子の出力変化を
A/D変換器によりA/D変換し、該A/D変換
値を比較器で比較値と比較することによりパルス
状の電気信号に形成されたクランク角信号として
出力する構成とする一方、前記比較器から出力さ
れるクランク角信号出力の比較値に対するデユー
テイを検出するデユーテイ検出手段と、該デユー
テイ検出手段から出力される検出信号に基づいて
前記比較値を可変制御する制御手段と、を設けた
