Conventionally, a series of acoustic signals such as one piece of music or one unit of a language learning material is treated as a group signal, an address signal indicating the recording start point is recorded at the beginning of each group signal, and the recorded address signal is detected. Accordingly, various tape recorders have been proposed in which it is possible to easily locate the beginning of any desired group signal.

However, in general, in this type of tape recorder, when a new recording is made after the last group signal on a tape that has been partially recorded using address signals, the end of the group signal after the final address of the tape is recorded. Conventionally, this end has been detected by manually repeatedly fast-forwarding, rewinding, and playing the tape, or by detecting the presence of a silent section for a predetermined period of time or longer. was.

The former method requires time and effort to detect the end. On the other hand, the latter method is an indirect method of detecting silent parts over a certain period of time, so if a group signal is recorded after a certain period of time,
This group signal will be ignored,
Another disadvantage is that the address signal to be recorded next must be determined using another method.

The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional methods described above, and detects all address signals recorded between both ends of a magnetic tape during a queue or review operation performed in response to a key operation. The detected address signal is stored as address information, a cue or review operation is performed at one end of the magnetic tape after all of the address signals have been detected, and the address signal detected during the cue or review operation is combined with the above stored address signal. The final address on the magnetic tape is detected by comparing the last address signal of consecutive address signals from the beginning of the magnetic tape, and the final address on the magnetic tape on which this final address signal is recorded is detected. By performing a cue or review operation starting from the position, and detecting a silent section in the middle, the end of the group signal that follows the final address signal is detected, and new information is added to the magnetic tape recorded using the address signal. An object of the present invention is to provide a tape recorder that can easily and highly reliably search for a recording start position when recording.

Reference numeral 9 denotes a control circuit which controls a mechanism drive circuit 10 of the tape recorder based on signals from the operation keyboard 8 to bring the mechanism into a state corresponding to the operation keys. The mechanism section is designed to perform a reverse operation at the end of the tape or at any other location. This control circuit 9 uses a drive circuit 10 to issue a cue or review command to the mechanism section in response to the operation of the recording standby key, causes the drive circuit 10 to cause the mechanism section to perform a cue or review operation, and responds to the operation of the address signal recording key. In response, an address recording command is issued to the address signal recording circuit 11, and the address signal recording circuit 11 causes the recording head 2b to record the address signal on the magnetic tape 1. 12 is a storage circuit that sequentially stores address information in response to detection of an address signal by the address signal detection circuit 6;

Reference numeral 13 denotes a comparison calculation circuit which compares the address signal stored in the storage circuit 12 with the address signal from the address signal detection circuit 6 in response to a signal applied from the control circuit 9 when the recording standby key is operated. The final address recorded last is detected, and a detection signal is applied to the control circuit 9 in response to the detection of this final address. After receiving the detection signal, the control circuit 9 outputs a signal to the drive circuit 10 in response to the silence detection signal generated by the silence detection circuit 5, and the drive circuit 10 causes the mechanism to stop, pause, or record. To bring the tape into a stop state where the tape stops running, such as during a pause.

As shown in FIG. 2, group signals G1 to G3
The magnetic tape 1 on which address signals A1 to A3 are recorded at each head is set in the tape recorder, and the recording standby key in the operation keyboard 8 is turned on. In response to turning on the recording standby key, the control circuit 9 issues a review command to the drive circuit 10 to cause the mechanical section to perform a review operation. During this review operation, the reproduction head 2a is in contact with the magnetic tape 1, and the address signal detection circuit 6 sequentially detects the address signals on the magnetic tape 1 based on the reproduction signal from its output. are sequentially stored in the storage circuit 12.

When the first end of the magnetic tape 1 is reached by this review operation, the control circuit 9 issues a reverse command to the drive circuit 10 in response to a signal from an end detection circuit (not shown).
In addition to this, the mechanism section is brought into a queue operating state. Even during this queue operation, the address signal is stored in the memory circuit 12.

Then, the reverse operation is performed again at the end of the magnetic tape 1, and the review state is resumed. The address signal detected in this review operation is compared with the address information stored in the storage circuit 12 in the comparator circuit 13, and when the recorded portion of the address signal A3 in the magnetic tape 1 reaches the reproduction head 2a, A match is made between the storage address signal in the circuit 12 and the detected address signal to detect the final address, and a signal is applied from the comparison calculation circuit 13 to the control circuit 9 in response.

When a silent part on the magnetic tape 1 is detected by the silent part detection circuit 5 based on the playback signal in the queue state, a signal is applied from the silent part detection circuit 5 to the control circuit 9, and the control circuit 9 responds to the signal. issues a tape running stop command to the drive circuit 10. This places the mechanism in a stop, pause or recording pause state, for example.

When the address signal recording key in the operation keyboard 8 is turned on in this state, the control circuit 9
outputs a recording command to the drive circuit 10, and also applies a signal to the address signal recording circuit 7 to record an address signal A4 following the final address signal A3 after the group signal G3 on the magnetic tape 1 through the recording head 2b. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3, the magnetic tape 1 on which a new group signal is to be recorded may be such that only the address signal X is stored and no group signal is recorded after that. In order to cope with such a case, if there is no group signal after the address signal, that address signal may be ignored so as not to be detected as the final address.

Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the operation by the recording standby key and the operation by the address signal recording key are separated, but both operations are performed continuously by one key, and the tape running state is checked at the end of recording the address signal. Furthermore, in order to be compatible with the magnetic tape 1 shown in FIG. 4, in which the previously recorded signal must be erased before recording a new group signal, it is necessary to record a new group signal continuously from the beginning of the tape. It is only necessary to consider only the information of the address signal that is displayed as the address signal.

As described above, according to the present invention, when a new recording is attempted on a magnetic tape recorded using address signals, the key operation automatically and quickly
And you can reliably find the recording start position,
A tape recorder with excellent operability and high reliability can be obtained. In particular, when searching for the recording start position, all address signals recorded between both ends of the magnetic tape during a queue or review operation performed in response to a key operation are stored as address information. The final address on the magnetic tape is detected by comparing the last address signal of the address signals that are continuous from the beginning of the magnetic tape with the address signal detected during the subsequent queue or review operation. Therefore, new and old address signals may coexist, such as when new content is recorded on an already recorded magnetic tape, and then the previously recorded content is erased and recorded again. Another advantage is that the recording start position can be reliably found even when the user is recording.
