Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a machine/tool for cooking and/or eating and drinking, which excels in vibratory insulation, emits less sounds uncomfortable to the ear when it is used has anti-corrosiveness, and is free of toxity as well as rusting by making its metal base part from a Mg-Ti type material. CONSTITUTION:A piece of metal tableware such as spoon (a) or knife (b) is constructed so that its whole structure consists of a Mg-Ti type material. Both Mg and Ti are free of toxity to a vital organism, and Mg alloy constitutes a silent metal presenting an extremely high vibratory damping ability. The specific damping factor of the tensile strength 55-65kgf/mm<2> of 50%Mg-50%Ti material is as high as 30-45%, compared with a conventional 12-13 Cr steel whose corresponding value is approx. 10%, and therefore, no irritating metallic sounds will be generated when this material is used to tableware.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, cooking pots, pots, kitchen knives, eating and drinking knives, forks, spoons, etc. have mainly been made of iron, stainless steel, etc., but these metals cause large vibrations and noise. It is unpleasant to hear loud metallic noises when cooking or eating or drinking. For this reason, there has been a demand for cooking and eating equipment with less vibration and noise, but in view of the effects on the human body such as toxicity, corrosion resistance, durability, etc., there has been no provision of equipment that fully satisfies the needs. There wasn't.

[Function] Composition of the MgTi-based material used as the metal base material for the cooking and eating equipment of the present invention. Neither Mg nor Ti is toxic to the human body, so the MgTi alloy is also non-toxic. It can be used with confidence as a material. . In addition, Mg alloy is generally a silent metal and has a high vibration damping ability, and cooking utensils made of MgTi alloy materials,
Eating and drinking utensils produce less harsh metallic noise. Furthermore, since the MgTi-based material is highly corrosion resistant, there is less wear and corrosion caused by rust. In addition, the hardness required for an instrument can be achieved by oxidizing, carbonizing, or nitriding the entire surface or necessary parts and forming a hardened layer of TiN, TiC, etc. on the surface, which improves wear resistance. The desired coloring can be obtained and the aesthetic appearance of the appliance can be improved.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The present invention will be explained below with reference to an embodiment of the drawings. FIG. 1 shows tableware, where (a) shows a spoon and (b) shows a knife. In the present invention, such metal tableware is constructed entirely of MgTi-based material. Both Mg and Ti materials are known as metal materials that are not toxic to living organisms. Therefore, MgTi alloy is extremely suitable as a material for metal tableware. In addition, Mg alloy is a material with extremely high vibration damping ability as a silent metal, and 50%Mg-50%
The inherent damping coefficient of Ti material with a tensile strength of 55 to 65 kgf/mm2 is the same as that of conventional 12-13Cr steel (70 kgf/mm2).
/mm2) is about 10%, while it is about 30~4
5%, and has the characteristic of being silent with about 1/3 to 1/4 of the metallic noise, so it can be used quietly as tableware without producing any metallic noise. Also, since it is lightweight, knives and forks are easy to operate.

[0007] Therefore, bowl ladles, tea strainers, spoons, etc., which were conventionally made of relatively low hardness stainless steel SUS304, are now made of relatively low hardness MgTi-based materials of about 60% Ti-40% Mg. Conventional high hardness stainless steel SUS

[0008] Generally, hardness is reduced by the addition of Mg, but some cooking and drinking appliances require particularly high hardness. In particular, the blade of a knife needs to have the required hardness and abrasion resistance to cut meat. Therefore, in the present invention, this problem is solved by subjecting the surface of a portion of a cooking/drinking appliance made of MgTi-based material that particularly requires hardness to a nitriding or carbonizing treatment to harden the surface.

FIG. 4 shows an embodiment in which a surface hardening process is performed using a laser beam 3. An object 2 to be processed, such as a knife, is inserted into a processing container 1, and the laser beam 3 is focused by a lens 4 to harden the object 2. irradiate and heat. A nitrogen-containing gas such as ammonia is supplied to the irradiated portion from the nozzle 5 to nitridize the surface. As a result, the surface of the object to be processed 2 is coated with TiN.
Since such a nitrided layer is formed, the desired surface hardening can be achieved by scanning the laser irradiation point and performing a process to form such a nitrided layer over the entire required portion of the object to be processed. The hardness can be set to 1,800 to 2,000 Hv or more, and sufficient wear resistance can be provided for tableware.

[0010] For surface hardening, the surface can be carbonized by supplying a hydrocarbon-based carbon-containing gas. By forming TiC or the like, the hardness can be increased to 3000 Hv or more. Ion plating, discharge coating, ion plantisin, furnace treatment, molten salt treatment, laser treatment, etc. can be used to form the hardened layer, and partial treatment is possible in all of them. By coating Ti in an atmosphere containing nitrogen gas or carbon, a thin layer of TiN or TiC can be formed and hardened. By subjecting the surface to nitriding and carbonizing in this manner, the hardened tableware has wear resistance and knives, etc., have the effect of improving their sharpness, but they are also colored to enhance their aesthetic appearance. That is, since TiN has a golden color and TiC has a black luster, it is possible to make the tableware look beautiful by coloring all or a required part of the tableware.

[0012] Such a coloring treatment can enhance the aesthetic appearance, but for tableware such as spoons, forks, and knives where beauty is particularly valued, surface treatment is performed by cladding with precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum. By doing so, it is possible to further enhance the aesthetic appearance, and Mg

FIG. 2 shows an example of cooking utensils such as pots and frying pans, the metal base portion 20 of which is made of MgTi-based material. The thermal conductivity of MgTi material is approximately 0.1 to 0.
It has good thermal conductivity of 25 cal15 cm-1 sec-1 (°C)-1, which is about 3 to 5 times that of 13Cr steel, so heat is distributed evenly throughout the pot and pot and is localized. There is no significant temperature difference, so there is no burning or sticking, and cooking can be done safely and well. In addition, MgTi-based materials do not rust and have excellent corrosion resistance (H
Cl test) shows a value about 10 times higher than that of 12-13Cr steel, so it is possible to provide cooking utensils with a long life.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention uses a MgTi alloy as a material constituting cooking and drinking equipment,
If necessary, oxidize all or necessary parts of the surface.
Since it is made by nitriding or carbonizing, it is non-toxic and can be used safely. In addition, Mg alloy has a high vibration damping ability as a silent metal, and the harsh metallic sound generated from the cooking and drinking equipment of the present invention made of MgTi alloy material is reduced, and it is extremely effective in reducing vibration and noise. Allows for quiet cooking and eating. Also, M
gTi-based materials are lightweight and can provide lightweight tableware that is extremely easy to use. It also has high corrosion resistance and is less prone to discoloration or wear. In addition, to ensure the hardness of the instrument, the entire surface or necessary parts are nitrided or carbonized, and the surface is coated with TiN.
By forming a hardened layer of , TiC, etc., wear resistance can be improved, and the formation of this nitrided and carbonized layer provides coloring, resulting in tableware that gives an aesthetic appearance. Also MgT
Since the thermal conductivity of i-based materials is good, pots made with this material,
Since there is no overall temperature difference in the pot and there is less uneven heat, there is no burning or sticking during cooking, and the effect is that extremely good cooking can be performed.
