Metal foils and the like are used, and the release paper used is glassine paper, polyethylene laminate paper, clay coated paper, etc. coated with a release agent such as a silicone compound or a fluorine compound. As the adhesive, solvent type adhesive, emulsion type adhesive, hot melt type adhesive, etc. are used.

That is, since solvent-based adhesives use large amounts of flammable and highly toxic solvents, they pose risks of fire and explosion as well as health and safety problems. Although emulsion-type adhesives do not have the problems of solvent-type adhesives, it takes time to dry the water contained therein, and they have poor water resistance. Hot-melt adhesives have poor heat resistance and require a weight average molecular weight of several hundred thousand to several million to exhibit sufficient physical properties. It is not possible to apply the coating with a certain amount and with good operability.

There are problems in that it is difficult to apply, high viscosity coating liquids cannot be applied, and it is not suitable for high-speed coating. Additionally, gravure coaters have problems such as the inability to apply a large amount of coating, the inability to apply high viscosity coating liquids, the need to periodically replace the gravure roll due to wear, and the tendency for roll patterns to occur. In other words, the ionizing radiation-curable adhesive composition contains almost no solvent or water and has a very high solids content, so the amount of coating fluid used during application is much smaller than that of solvent-based or emulsion-based adhesives. When the coater head and the coated substrate are in close proximity, the coated substrate is likely to be damaged. It is thought that such scratches are caused by direct contact with the coater head or insertion of foreign matter between the coater head and the coated substrate. As a result, when a surface base material is used as a coating base material, a problem arises in that the appearance is impaired due to scratches. In addition, when applying to a release sheet, irradiating it with ionizing radiation, and bonding it to the surface base material to form an adhesive sheet, there is no damage to the surface base material, but in extreme cases the release sheet may be damaged. Problems arise in that the adhesive gets stuck in between, resulting in poor removability or poor adhesion between the surface substrate and the adhesive.

The curtain coater in the present invention is a coating machine that drops a coating agent through a slot orifice, forms a continuous film of the coating agent, and applies this film on a web. In curtain coaters, the distance between the coater head and the coating substrate (web) is usually 1 mm to 5 mm.
It is about 0 cm, preferably about 5 mm to 10 cm, and unlike a die coater, the coater head and the base material are not close to each other, so there are no streaks or scratches caused by foreign objects or direct contact. The width of the slit to form the curtain is usually 0.05
The thickness is approximately 1 mm, and in order to increase the stability of the curtain as a liquid film, guide rods are provided to support both ends of the curtain. This guide bar is usually provided across the width of the web, and the coating liquid curtain is formed across the width of the web.

It is more preferably used because of its excellent suitability for The ionizing radiation-curable adhesive composition of the present invention preferably has a viscosity of 100
It is adjusted to be 0 to 100,000 cps. In other words, outside this range, it is difficult to form a uniform fallen film;
The amount of application may vary. For this reason, it is desirable that the temperature of the coating liquid be controlled to a constant temperature.
When the viscosity exceeds cps, it is preferable to adjust the viscosity by heating or the like.
