Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the easy mounting method which disposes yarn-like elastic members around the legs put with disposable diapers, etc., more widely in the central part (in side leg part) than at both longitudinal ends thereof. CONSTITUTION:Yarn-like materials 4a, 4b, 4c are used as yarn-like connecting members 4A, 4B around the leg put with the articles. While these yarn-like materials are supported in parallel by a traversing means in such a manner that the intervals of the curved arrays thereof are wider in the central part thereof than at both longitudinal ends, the members are introduced in a sine curve form to a continuous web 7 as the material of the articles. The adhesive parts 4A1, 4B1 of these elastic members are adhered and the non-adhesive parts 4A2, 4B2 of the elastic members are cut together with the web 7 at the individual article boundaries inclusive of the adhered parts to allow the members to shrink.

FIG. 2 shows an exploded perspective view of article 1. FIG. The article 1 includes a top sheet 6 made of a horizontally and vertically stretchable liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric,
A back sheet 7 made of a non-woven fabric that is stretchable and liquid-impermeable in both directions, a mat or sheet-like water-absorbent core 8 mainly made of cotton-like pulp, and the string-like elastic members 4A and 4B around the legs and waist.
, 5. Top and backsheet 6
, 7, the inseam area 12 located between the front and rear areas 10 and 11.
The concave notch edges 13 of the leg surroundings 2 are formed in the same shape on both side edges. Although not shown, the back sheet 7 can be expanded and contracted vertically and horizontally.
It is also possible to employ a structure in which a vertically and horizontally stretchable liquid-impermeable plastic film is intermittently bonded to the inner surface of a liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric using an adhesive. In this way, it is possible to completely prevent the excretory liquid from permeating the back sheet 7, and when at least the outer peripheral area of the film is intermittently bonded to the top sheet 6 with an adhesive, the top sheet, which is the fabric of the article 1, can be completely prevented. Furthermore, by improving the elasticity of the backsheets 6 and 7 and increasing the elongation stress, it is possible to further improve the fit and adhesion of the article 1 to the body.

In FIG. 4, while moving the continuous web 7 along its length at a given speed, adhesive is applied at given intervals on both sides of the continuous web 7 in a concave manner to the side edges thereof. The adhesive zones 14 are sequentially provided by applying the adhesive as shown in FIG. On the other hand, thread-like continuous elastic members 4A, each stretched at a given magnification,
The filamentous materials 4a, 4b, 4c constituting 4B are inserted into the guide holes 33a, 33b, 33c of the traverse means 21, 22, respectively. In this situation, the guide rod 29,
39 is reciprocated across each side region of the continuous web 7 in the width direction at a given speed, the threads 4a, 4b, 4c of each group (thread-like continuous elastic members 4A, 4B) are attached to each adhesive zone 1.

The thread-like continuous elastic members 4A and 4B each move from the first position P1 to the second position P2 and from the second position P2 to the first position P1 by the width W, but from the first position P1 to the second position As it moves to position P2, the elongation rate becomes slightly higher, and as a result, the elongation stress becomes stronger. this is,
The guide rods 29 and 30 force the filamentous continuous elastic members 4A and 4B, which are stretched at a given stretching ratio and run linearly along the length of the continuous web 7, in the lateral direction of the continuous web 7. The continuous elastic members 4A, 4B change from the first position P1 to the second position P1 due to the resistance at that time.
This is because it is expanded as it moves to 2. However, this depends on the running speed of the filamentous continuous elastic members 4A, 4B in the longitudinal direction and the moving speed of the guide rods 29, 30 in the lateral direction.

Furthermore, each group of filamentous materials 4a, 4b, 4
c is achieved by forcibly moving these filamentous objects, which are moving parallel to the length direction of the continuous web 7, in the lateral direction of the continuous web 7 using the guide rods 29 and 30, so that they are moved to the first position P1.
The distance between the plurality of lines becomes wider as the line moves from the position to the second position P2. This includes the guide portions 33a, 33b,
33c are spaced apart from each other and arranged in parallel in the direction crossing the moving direction of the continuous web 7, and the filamentous materials 4a, 4b,
The traverse means 2 is arranged such that the radius of curvature of the curved adhesive zone 14 increases from both longitudinal ends of the curved adhesive zone 14 to its center.
1 and 22 are controlled.

[0019] Thus, the bonded portions 4A1, 4A1, 4B of the filamentous continuous elastic members 4A, 4B pass over and along each bonded zone 14.
4B1 is pressed by the nipping roller 34 and adhered to each adhesive zone 14. Non-bonded portions 4A2 of thread-like continuous elastic members 4A and 4B that do not pass over the bonded zone 14 and along them
, 4B2 contracts and becomes linear while retaining some elongation stress. It is essential to retain the elongation stress for the reasons described later, and doing so will affect the elongation rate of the filamentous continuous elastic members 4A, 4B and the non-bonded portions 4A2, 4.
It can be determined by the radius of curvature of B2.

[0022] In this invention, as mentioned above, since the method is to bond a filamentous continuous elastic member with an adhesive while bending it into a continuous web using a traverse means, it is essential that the continuous elastic member used be made of a filamentous material. It is. For example, if the continuous elastic member is made of a relatively wide material,
In the method of the present invention, the continuous elastic member is twisted and does not adhere well to the continuous web, and is likely to separate during the adhesion operation. The cross-sectional shape of the filamentous continuous elastic member may be circular (including elliptical), square, or other irregular shapes, but it is not preferable that the ratio of the longest cross-sectional dimension to the smallest cross-sectional dimension is too large.
