According to the present invention, each of the guide portions of the traverse means which are spaced apart from each other and arranged in parallel support the thread-like continuous elastic member comprising a plurality of wires extending on both sides along the length direction of the continuous web. It reciprocates so as to cross in the width direction of the continuous web, and guides the thread-like continuous elastic member to the continuous web in a curved shape at a constant period. Thus, the thread-like continuous elastic members are adhered in parallel to the continuous web, and the thread-like continuous elastic members have a curved parallel spacing (in the area of individual articles) wide at their center and narrow at their ends. Will be done. The curved adhesive portion of the thread-like continuous elastic member becomes a thread-like elastic member surrounding each leg of the final article.

The recessed edges 13 of the leg enclosure 2 are formed in the same shape on both side edges of the leg enclosure 2. Although not shown, the back sheet 7 may be formed of a vertically and horizontally stretchable and liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric formed by intermittently joining an inner surface of a vertically and horizontally stretchable and liquid-impermeable plastic film with an adhesive. . This makes it possible to completely prevent the excreted liquid from penetrating through the back sheet 7 and to intermittently bond at least the outer peripheral area of the film to the top sheet 6 with an adhesive. In addition, the elasticity of the back sheets 6 and 7 can be improved and the elongation stress can be increased to further improve the conformability of the article 1 to the body.

In FIG. 4, while moving the continuous web 7 at a given speed in its length direction, the adhesive is concavely bent at both sides of the continuous web 7 in the length direction at a given interval. Thus, the adhesive zone 14 is sequentially provided. On the other hand, the thread-shaped continuous elastic members 4A,
Threads 4a, 4b, 4c constituting 4B are inserted into guide holes 33a, 33b, 33c of the traverse means 21, 22 respectively. In such a state, the guide rod 29,
39 is reciprocated across the respective side areas of the continuous web 7 at a given speed in the width direction, and the filaments 4a, 4b, 4c of each group (filament continuous elastic members 4A, 4B) become

[0017] Filamentous continuous elastic members 4A, 4B, respectively, from the first position P 1 to the second position P 2, but moves each of the first position P 1 to the width W from the second position P 2, the first position elongation rate slightly higher with the move from P 1 to the second position P 2, as a result, tensile stress increases. This is because the guide rods 29 and 30 forcibly force the continuous webs 7 to extend along the length of the continuous webs 7A and 4B running linearly along the longitudinal direction of the web 7 at a given stretching magnification. Although diverting laterally, continuous elastic members 4A by the resistance at that time, 4B is because is elongated along to move from the first position P 1, respectively to the second position P 2. However,
This depends on the traveling speed of the thread-shaped continuous elastic members 4A, 4B in the length direction and the moving speed of the guide rods 29, 30 in the lateral direction.

Further, the filaments 4a, 4b, 4
c, the first position P 1 is obtained by forcibly moving these thread-like materials moving parallel to the length direction of the continuous web 7 in the lateral direction of the continuous web 7 with the guide rods 29 and 30.
Spacing of the plurality present with the move to the second position P 2 is widened from. This is because the guides 33a, 33b,
33c are spaced apart from each other in a direction intersecting the moving direction of the continuous web 7, and are arranged in parallel.
4c so that the radius of curvature of the traverse means 2c increases from the longitudinal ends of the curved adhesive zone 14 to the center thereof.
This is because 1 and 22 are controlled.

4B 1 is pressed by the holding roller 34 and adhered to each adhesive zone 14. The non-adhesive portions 4 of the thread-like continuous elastic members 4A, 4B that do not pass along the adhesive zone 14 along these.
A 2 and 4B 2 contract and become linear with some residual elongation stress. It is indispensable to have a residual elongation stress in this way for the reason described later, and to do so, it is necessary to increase the elongation rate and the non-adhesion portion 4A 2 ,
It can be determined by a radius of curvature of the 4B 2.

In the present invention, as described above, the continuous elastic member to be used is made of a thread-like material because the continuous elastic member to be used is bonded to the continuous web with the adhesive while being bent to the continuous web by the traverse means. It is. For example, when the continuous elastic member is made of a relatively wide material, the method according to the present invention twists the continuous elastic member and does not adhere well to the continuous web, and easily peels off during the bonding operation. The cross-sectional shape of the thread-like continuous elastic member may be circular (including an elliptical shape), square, or other irregular shape, but it is not preferable that the ratio of the longest cross-sectional dimension to the minimum cross-sectional dimension is too large.
