Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable uneven temperature-distribution of a heat roller to be fixed as it is and to be revealed and then the uniformity of the amount of given heat to be judged by coating a member which becomes transparent by adding a specified amount of heat on a sheet uniformly. CONSTITUTION:A resin bead 2 or a resin filler 3 which becomes transparent due to heat is uniformly coated on a surface of a sheet-shaped film 1 for forming a surface layer 4. When this sheet 1 is allowed to pass between fixing rollers of a fixing device, the sheet 1 becomes transparent. The degree of transparency differs depending on the amount of given heat, thus enabling a temperature distribution of a heat roller and the uniformity of the amount of given heat to be judged according to the degree of transparency.

[Problem to be Solved by the Invention] When measuring the temperature of the heat roller with a contact type or non-contact type thermometer as described above, it is necessary to remove the exterior of the fixing device unit or press the measurement terminal into a narrow area. There are other problems, such as scratches on the measuring part because of the temperature difference, the measured temperature being different from the actual temperature because the outer casing is removed, and the measuring device being expensive. Furthermore, when using the thermocrayon described above, in order to measure the uniformity of temperature distribution, it is necessary to coat the entire surface, which is time-consuming and has poor accuracy. Furthermore, thermolabels have problems such as being able to obtain only a partial measurement value, poor accuracy, and not being able to measure the distribution of the amount of heat given by the heat roller. Also, O. H. P. In the film, the resin beads 2 or the resin filler material 3 are thermally melted with a heat roller to make the entire surface transparent, and there is another difference in that it is not made for measuring temperature distribution. There was a problem.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a method in which a member 2 or 3 that becomes transparent upon application of a predetermined amount of heat is uniformly applied onto a sheet 1. It is characterized by: The transparent member 2 or 3 is made transparent according to the layer thickness 4 and the predetermined amount of heat changes. so that it is slightly higher or lower than the amount of heat given by the device,
The sheet 1 having the set layer thickness 4 and uniformly coated with the transparent member 2 or 3 has a color different from that of the transparent member 2 or 3. It is something to do.

[Operation] As described above, in the present invention, when the sheet 1 uniformly coated with the heat-transparent member 2 or 3 is passed between the fixing rollers of the fixing device, the sheet 1 becomes transparent. Since the degree of transparency varies depending on the amount of heat applied, the amount of heat, ie, the temperature distribution of the heat roller, is displayed in a fixed manner depending on the degree of transparency.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, a surface layer 4 is formed by uniformly applying heat-transparent resin beads 2 or resin filler 3 on one surface of a sheet-like film 1. The above sheet-like film 1
It is preferable to use a polyester film such as Mylar or polyethylene terephthalate resin commercially available under the trade name of Lumirror, and the thickness is about 75 to 150 μm. This sheet-like film 1 is one in which the resin beads 2 of the surface layer 4 or the resin filler 3 can be identified as transparent.
Not only transparent ones but also colored ones can be used. The resin beads 2 or the resin filler 3 constituting the surface layer 4 may be made of any resin that can be melted by the amount of heat provided during fixing, such as polyethylene, polystyrene, vinyl chloride, low molecular weight polyethylene, and acrylic resin. As mentioned above, the temperature of the heat roller is determined by the transparency of the coated surface layer 4 due to the amount of heat applied to it, so even if the thickness of the sheet-like film 1 is changed or the thickness of the surface layer 4 is changed, Transparency can be adjusted by temperature. In this example, the thickness of the sheet-like film is 100 μm, and the thickness of the surface layer 4 is 3 to 3 μm.
The thickness was changed stepwise at 0 μm, and sheets that became transparent with a predetermined amount of heat were obtained. Member 2 or 3 that becomes the surface layer 4
The method of applying the coating material to the sheet-like film 1 includes a wire bar method, a doctor blade method, an air knife method, and the like.

Effects of the Invention The present invention is as described above, and since a member that becomes transparent upon application of a predetermined amount of heat is uniformly applied onto a sheet, after adjusting the temperature distribution of the fixing device,
By simply passing the sheet between the fixing rollers, conditions such as the temperature distribution of the heat roller and the uniformity of the amount of heat applied can be fixed at low cost and without the need for complicated or expensive equipment. It has the effect of being able to be expressed and measured.
