As is well known, on this type of road, waterways such as irrigation canals and small rivers that run parallel to the roadside need to be removed for snow removal during the winter when a large amount of snow falls in the surrounding area. It is often used as a snow drifting ditch.

However, there are two problems when using the water channel as a snow channel. One of these is that if a large amount of snow is dumped into a waterway at once, the amount of snow dumped will be reduced due to the fact that winter is the dry season in snowy countries, and the water temperature has dropped significantly. When a sufficient amount of water cannot be obtained, the snow dumped into the waterway blocks the flow of water, and not only does it not perform a satisfactory snow-flushing function, but the waterway becomes a dam and overflows onto the road surface. There is danger. Another problem is that when a protective shelf is installed on the shoulder of the road on the waterway side to prevent falls, this protective shelf becomes an obstacle when dumping snow into the waterway. There are some structures that allow the above-mentioned protective shelves to be temporarily removed during snow removal and snow disposal work, but when snow accumulates, there is no place to store the removed protective shelves, so they are left on the streets around the site. This has the disadvantage that it obstructs snow removal work and road traffic.

This invention was devised to solve both of the above problems all at once, and its purpose was to remove the protective shelf from the shoulder of the road during snow removal and snow disposal work. An object of the present invention is to provide a new protective shelf having a structure in which the shelf body can be used as a screen for separating snow and water by setting the shelf body in a specific form in a waterway running parallel to the roadside.

The structure of the protective shelf of the present invention that achieves the above object is based on a base that can be supported by removably fitting the legs of the shelf body of the protective shelf on the shoulder of a road that has parallel waterways on the roadside. are buried at predetermined intervals to connect a shelf consisting of a main rod bent into a gate shape spanning between adjacent bases and a screen installed in the internal space, and to connect the shelf to the retaining wall surface on the waterway side. The present invention is characterized in that a hanging device is provided that allows the shelf body of the protective shelf to be suspended at a slope that is gentler than the legal slope of the retaining wall.

That is, in the drawing, reference numeral 1 denotes a shelf that becomes the main body of the guard shelf G, and 2 denotes a base for supporting and fixing the shelf 1 to the road shoulder R 1 of the road R. It is composed of a main rod 3 that is bent into a shape, and a screen 4 installed in an internal space surrounded by the main rod, and the part corresponding to the screen 4 is slightly above the leg end of the main rod 3. It is formed in a lattice shape by a member 4a horizontally suspended in a vertical position and a vertical member 4b connected in parallel at intervals of 5 to 10 cm between the handrail portion 3a at the upper end of the main rod 3. Instead of the screen, for example, a punched metal or wire mesh may be used. The base 2 also includes a pair of front and rear sheath cylinders 6a, 6b that can be supported by inserting the legs 3b of the shelf 1 into the upper part of the base plate 5, and a retaining wall R2 of the road R at the bottom. It has a pedestal 8 that plunges into the hole 7, and is installed at predetermined intervals along the extension direction of the road R,
The pedestal 8 may be buried all together during concrete pouring when constructing the retaining wall R2 . Furthermore, the hook-shaped member indicated by numeral 9 in the drawing is a retaining wall on the waterway side.
R2 is a hanging tool fixed to the front surface so that the shelf body 1 of the protective shelf G can be suspended, and the protruding position of this hanging tool 9 is as follows:
When the handrail 3a of the shelf 1 is hooked to the hook according to the usage procedure described later, the leg end of the shelf 1 touches the river bed surface W1 of the waterway W, and the screen 4 of the shelf 1
The retaining wall R 2 is fixed at a height that can be supported while being inclined more gently than the legal slope of the retaining wall R 2 . Depending on the protruding position, the above-mentioned hanging tool 9 may be integrated with the pillar 8 of the base 2 . It may be formed into

Since the protective shelf G of this invention has the above-mentioned structure, it goes without saying that it can fully exhibit the same fall prevention function as the conventional protective shelf in its original state except during the snowy season. When it is necessary to remove snow and throw away snow during winter snowfall, if you pull the shelf 1 upward from the base 2, the shelf 1 will get in the way of the work.
After removal, the shelf body 1 can be easily removed by attaching the handrail part 3a of the shelf body to the retaining wall R2 and the hanging tool 9 on the front side.
If it is hooked onto the wall and set in the waterway W as shown in the figure, a substantially triangular space S is formed between the shelf body 1 and the retaining wall R2 , and the cross section of the water flow inside the waterway W can be divided into two. A screen 4 is installed on the shelf 1, and this screen 4 plays the role of separating snow and water, so even if a large amount of snow is dumped into the waterway W, there will be no snow inside the screen 4. There is no risk of the waterway becoming a dam due to falling snow and overflowing onto the road surface, as there is a waterway between the retaining wall R2 and the retaining wall R2 through which only water can flow.

As described above, if the protective shelf of the present invention is installed on the shoulder of a road that has a parallel waterway on the roadside, it will not only help prevent falls like a regular protective shelf, but also be effective during snow removal and snow disposal work. The shelf body can be easily removed to facilitate work, and the shelf body after removal can be used as a screen for separating snow and water, making it ideal for use on roads in snowy countries.
