Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce vibration due to slack of a pin belt by providing two rollers having diameters different from each other, a first guide member arranged along the circumferential face of one roller out of the two rollers having larger diameter, and a second guide member arranged along a straight part of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A continuous paper 1 is made to pass between a platen 2 and a print head 3. A holding member 10 is rotated upward to make an open state. A hole 1a of the continuous paper 1 is provided so as to fit a pin 4a of a pin belt 4 along the circumferential face of a drive roller 5 having a larger diameter out of two rollers extending the wound pin belt 4. The holding member 10 is closed to set so that the continuous paper 1 does not slip off from the pin 4a. In this state, the pin belt 4 is rotated in the direction of an arrow by the drive roller 5. The continuous paper 1 is pulled by the rotation of the pin belt 4, so that the continuous paper 1 is sent so as to pass between the platen 2 and the print head 3. That is, the pin belt 4a is shortened to lessen the stretch of the pin belt, so that the vibration due to slack of the pin belt is reduced.
