Description of the Related Art In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of devices that use rechargeable batteries as power sources, such as cordless telephones and small video cameras. In such rechargeable batteries, the remaining capacity has mainly been determined based on the battery voltage. In addition, most chargers are those that flow a constant current to rechargeable batteries or those that flow charging current only for a certain period of time.

FIG. 1 shows a block diagram of the rechargeable battery device of the present invention. A battery 10 in the rechargeable battery 1 is connected to a terminal 14 via an electrical quantity measuring means 11. Further, the electrical quantity measuring means 11 is connected to the storage means 12 and the transmission means 13 in a subordinate manner. A power source 20 in the charger 2 is connected to a terminal 23 via an electricity quantity control means 21 . The receiving means 22 is connected to the electricity quantity control means 21 . The overall configuration of the present invention is shown in the perspective view of FIG. 2.

When the rechargeable battery 1 is connected to a device that consumes the battery and starts discharging, the electric quantity measuring means 11 measures the electric quantity and stores the value in the storage means 12. When the rechargeable battery 1 is connected to the charger 2, the value of the amount of electricity stored in the storage means 12 is transmitted as data from the transmitting means 13 of the rechargeable battery 1. When the rechargeable battery 1 is connected, the charger 2 receives the data on the amount of electricity transmitted from the rechargeable battery 1 using the receiving means 22, and transmits the charging conditions corresponding to the data on the amount of electricity to the power source 2.
0, is set by the electricity quantity control means 21 and the rechargeable battery 1 is charged. In this case, the exchange of electricity data is carried out by the rechargeable battery 1.
and the charger 2, but this method may include a mechanical contact method using the terminal 14, a method of transmitting and receiving using infrared rays, a method of transmitting and receiving using electromagnetic induction, a method of transmitting and receiving using radio waves, etc. However, it is possible to adopt.
