Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a circuit without the need of extension of the circuit even when number of packages is increased by outputting an active standby switching signal from an ON SET signal output section as a serial and delivering the signal to each package through a serial bus. CONSTITUTION:A main signal circuit 8 is monitored by a monitoring circuit 6 and when the circuit 6 detectes a fault, a signal is sent to an ON SET signal section 4. The output section 4 collects fault signals from packages 1-N and analyzes them to output a serial ON SET signal instructing the new ON LINE state of each package. This signal is delivered to its own package ON SET signal detection section 5 of each of the package 1-N to detect and output the ON SET signal of its package. The output signal is sent to a switching circuit 7 to switch its own package to any of the active and standby states. The package of a redundant system not outputting a fault signal is not switched.
