Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic head and a medium from flawing by providing a space part at each corner of the housing case and applying an adhesive on each inner wall surface of the corners. CONSTITUTION:The housing case 4 is provided with a pocket 1 at each of the four corners to be as the space part connected to a medium setting part 2, and the adhesive 6 is applied on the inner walls of the pockets 1 in advance at the time of assembly. Because of this, dust having entered from a head window 3 and a spindle hole 4 is carried into the pocket by an airflow which is generated by rotating the medium 5, and is stuck to the adhesive 6 applied on its inner wall to be collected. Moreover, instead of applying an adhesive, an adhesive tape whose surface is coated in advance with an adhesive can be applied. By this method, the magnetic head and the medium 5 can be prevented from flawing.
