Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent head clash between a magnetic disk and a magnetic head by providing at least one labyrinth seal or over between a magnetic fluid seal and the inside of a base plate. CONSTITUTION:A bearing housing 1 supporting a shaft of a spindle 3 freely turnably is provided at both ends of the shaft and a magnetic fluid seal 6 is fitted between the bearing 2 and the base plate 5 to keep the sealing between the inside and the outside of the base plate.
