Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily sort heavy matter and light matter by forming a suction chamber to the under surface of a belt provided with a large number of holes and moving the light matter in the state sucked to the belt by the suction force from the suction chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A belt 7 movable upwardly is trained over front and rear rollers 5,6 in an inclined state and a large number of holes 9 are formed to the belt 7. A cover 12 is provided to the under surface of the belt 7 at the position where waste refuse is supplied to the belt 7 to form the suction chamber 13 opposed to the belt 7. When waste is supplied to a belt conveyor 1, heavy matter moves downwardly on the belt 7 and light matter moves upwardly with the movement of the belt 7 in the state sucked to the surface of the belt 7 by the suction force from the suction chamber 13. Further, the dust generated when the waste is supplied to the belt conveyor 1 is sucked in the suction chamber 13 through the holes 9 of the belt 7. By this constitution, the heavy and light matters can be certainly sorted.
