Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a change of spillage oil into oil drops and to obviate the diffusion of oil effectively by installing a wave-suppressing plate on the side, where a closing region is formed against spillage oil, by a connecting member having flexibility. CONSTITUTION:A float section 1 extended in the longitudinal direction of an oil fence and a skirt section 2 drooped from the float section 1 are mounted. A wave suppressing plate 5 consisting of a plate body having buoyancy and having oil adsorbing performance is set up on the side, where a closing region is shaped to spillage oil, by a connecting member having flexibility. It is favorable that a net, etc., made of a synthetic resin having permeability to water and oil are used as the connecting member. A change into oil drops of spillage oil is prevented by the oscillation of the wave suppressing plate 5, and pushing back action of oil is conducted.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In recent years, as the demand for petroleum increases, petroleum cargo handling facilities have become larger, and tankers for transporting petroleum have also become larger. In proportion to this, oil spill accidents due to accidents at sea are occurring frequently, and these accidents have become a social problem as they not only cause loss of oil but also have a long-term negative impact on the ecology of the sea area. . For this reason, oil fences, which are extended above the water surface, have come into widespread use to prevent oil from spreading in the event of an accident. There are two types of oil fences; they are fixed to the seabed with anchor ropes and extended around oil cargo handling facilities, and are floated or lowered above the sea surface by supplying and exhausting air. There are two types of oil fences: portable oil fences, which are normally rolled up and stored on a quay or on a ship, and are deployed by a work boat in the event of an accident.

However, when an oil fence is deployed in response to an oil spill, the skirt part will hang down in the seawater, which will block the tidal current, and the direction of the flow will depend on the skirt part. is deflected downward along the skirt, and an opposite vortex is generated on the outside of the boom beyond this skirt. In this case, the spilled oil surrounded by the oil fence becomes oil droplets along with the tide, passes under the skirt part, and escapes to the outside of the oil fence, albeit little by little. Out-diffusion occurs.

FIG. 6 shows the generation of oil droplets due to waves and tidal currents, and FIG. 7 shows the escape of oil droplets when the boom is located particularly on the crest of a wave. Note that the direction of the current flow is indicated by an arrow X. That is, the spilled oil 20 whose diffusion is prevented by the float part 1 and the skirt part 2 of the oil fence is moved below the spilled oil surrounded by the oil fence due to the effects of the waves and the current. As mentioned above, mist-like oil droplets 21 are generated and carried to the outside of the boom by currents and waves, but especially when the boom rides on the crest of a wave, the oil droplets 21 are generated on the skirt of the boom. There is a strong tendency for it to pass under 2 and be carried outward.

[Means for Solving the Problems] As a result of intensive development to achieve the above object, the present invention solves this drawback by adopting the following configuration. That is, the gist of the present invention is to provide an oil fence consisting of a float portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the oil fence and a skirt portion hanging from the float portion for preventing the diffusion of oil. The oil fence is characterized by having a wave control material with a flexible connecting member on the side forming the wave control member, and preferably the wave control material is a buoyant plastic or rubber plate. This wave control material should also have oil adsorption performance. The flexible connecting member is

[Operation] The present invention relates to an oil fence that surrounds spilled oil, and in particular, the wave control material provided toward the waves prevents the oil from spreading. That is, the wave control material is connected to the oil fence by a flexible continuous member, and the swinging of the wave control material prevents oil from spreading. This wave control material has enough buoyancy to float on seawater, but it is especially effective if it has a specific gravity between that of water and oil.

[Examples] The oil fence of the present invention will be explained below with further specific examples. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the oil boom of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a conceptual diagram of the oil boom when it is deployed on the sea. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 indicates a float section, and from this float section 1 there is a skirt section 2 that prevents oil from spreading.
is hanging down. Each of these parts is made of a rubber material with reinforcing canvas embedded inside, and the skirt part 2
A weight 3 is attached to the tip. A net 4 made of synthetic resin is fixed to the intermediate portion of this skirt portion 2, and a wave control plate 5 made of plastic is fixed to this net 4. When this is extended over seawater 10, the float part 1 appears above the sea surface, and the skirt part 2 hangs down from this into the sea. Moreover, the wave control material 5 is supported by the net 4 and floats on the sea surface.

FIG. 3 is a conceptual diagram similar to FIG. 2 in which the spilled oil 20 is surrounded by an oil fence, but in this example, the wave control material 5 has a specific gravity between that of seawater 10 and the spilled oil 20. It is something. In this case, the wave control material 5 is seawater 1 as shown in the figure.
The oil droplets 21 of the spilled oil 20 will float on the interface between the spilled oil 20 and the spilled oil 20, and even if a vortex is generated by a tide or waves, the oil droplets 21 of the spilled oil 20 will be suspended.
This will prevent oil from spreading to the outside of the boom.

FIGS. 4 and 5 are conceptual diagrams of oil booms that are particularly affected by waves. In Fig. 4, in a normal oil boom, oil droplets 21 are generated in the lower layer of spilled oil 20, and these droplets mainly pass under the skirt part 2 when the oil fence reaches the top of the wave as shown in Fig. 5. However, in the present invention, in order to move the layer of spilled oil 20, which is the source of these oil droplets 21, away from the oil fence, the skirt part is used. The amount of oil droplets 21 passing through 2 was significantly reduced.

In FIG. 5, the wave damping material 5 in front of the oil fence is free to move in the direction of the waves (X direction) due to the flexible connecting material, so The tip of the wave control material 5 has a floating shape, and therefore has the function of a control board 20 that pushes the layer of spilled oil 20 forward. On the other hand, when there is an oil fence on the crest of the wave as shown in , the wave control material 5 has an inclination opposite to that shown in FIG. 4, and similarly has the function of pushing back the spilled oil 20 forward. This movement of the wave control material 5 is just an example, but especially when the wave control material 5 has a specific gravity set between 10 and 20 of seawater and spilled oil, there is a similar movement between the two. Because of the movement, the generation of oil droplets 21 can be prevented, and the function of pushing back the spilled oil 20 can be made more effective.
