Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title compsn. giving a molded article excellent in impact resistance and mechanical properties by compounding a vinyl chloride resin, a silanol condensation catalyst, and a silane-modified chlorinated polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. comprises a vinyl chloride resin, a silanol condensation catalyst, and a silane-modified chlorinated polyethylene. The modified polyethylene is prepd. by reacting a chlorinated polyethylene, pref. having a degree of chlorination of 30-40wt.%, with a silane compd. in the presence of a radial generator. The compsn. is crosslinked by the condensation between molecules of the modified chlorinated polyethylene caused by, e.g. dipping an extrusion molded article of the compsn. in water, flowing water through it, or bringing it into contact with water vapor.
