Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a power supply adapter to be lessened in number of component parts and simplified in assembly operation by a method wherein a case shell or a metal plate or a metal foil is provided outside to cover a power supply circuit. CONSTITUTION:An upper case member 2 and a lower case member 3 are assembled into a box of rectangular parallelepiped as a whole. Metal plates 5 and 6 are buried in the shells of the upper and the lower case member, 2 and 3, respectively. The case members 2 and 3 can be formed of plastics, the metal plates 5 and 6 of iron or the like can be used, and the metal plates 5 and 6 can be buried in the case members 2 and 3 through an integral molding method. As a power supply adapter 1 is composed of the case members 2 and 3 where the metal plates 5 and 5 are buried, a power supply circuit is not required to be housed in a plastic case after it is covered with a metal cover, and as a result a power supply adapter can be lessened in number of component parts and easily assembled.
