PURPOSE:To effect discrimination in a manner that a narrow recording paper is not erroneously recognized as a wide recording paper even when the narrow recording paper is not accurately set by locating one sensor in a position outside the two edges of a narrow recording paper, in which two sensors are set, and in a position inside the two edges of a wide recording paper.
