の駆動軸に、カートリッジの取り外し時には互いの連結
が自由に解除される駆動軸継手部材を設けるとともに、
カートリッジの装着動作によって前記駆動軸継手部材を
互いに連結可能な位相に回動せしめる回動部材を設けた
ため、カートリッジの着脱の際、画像形成装置本体側の
駆動伝達機構を退避させるための特別な機構を要するこ
となく、カートリッジの着脱動作のみで駆動伝達の断接
を容易に行なうことができるという効果が得られる。

The advantage is that the drive transmission can be easily connected and disconnected simply by attaching and detaching the cartridge without requiring any additional steps.

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】  少なくとも複数の現像ユニットを含ん
で構成されるカートリッジを有し、該カートリッジ内の
各現像ユニットを駆動するための駆動源を装置本体側に
備え、カートリッジを装置本体に対して現像ユニットの
駆動軸と直角に着脱するようにしたカラー画像形成装置
に設けられる装置であって、前記駆動源と各現像ユニッ
トの駆動軸に、カートリッジの取り外し時には互いの連
結が自由に解除される駆動軸継手部材を設けるとともに
、カートリッジの装着動作によって前記駆動軸継手部材
を互いに連結可能な位相に回動せしめる回動部材をカー
トリッジと画像形成装置本体にそれぞれ設けたことを特
徴とするカラー画像形成装置の駆動伝達装置。
