Abstract

PURPOSE:To make easy the visual recognition of a person who is going to take a bath, and to safely utilize the title bath, by a method wherein for the title bath with a step therein, the step is composed of a transparent material and an illuminating means is located on the rear surface of the step. CONSTITUTION:The title bath 1 is composed of fiber-reinforced plastics, scagliola, or the like, and has a step 3 composed of a transparent material, which is on the side of a washing place 10 and is at the position higher than a bath bottom 2, by one step. A lamp house 4 provided at the rear surface of the step 3, and is formed in the shape of a rectangle almost over the whole of the step 3. A fluorescent lamp 5 is fitted in the lamp house 4 and is illuminated in the lamp house 4 through a power source cord 6, together with a illumination switch in a bath room. Light beams emitted from the fluorescent lamp 5 are irradiated on the rear surface of the step 3, and are mainly emitted upward at the surface of the step (upper surface) through the step 3. Although the step 3 needs to have a light transparency, it is preferable that the step 3 is not perfectly transparent, but is semitransparent, of which the light transmission factor is about 20 percent.

[Prior Art] Bathtubs have already been proposed that have steps inside the bathtub at a position higher than the bottom of the bathtub so that people can safely and easily go in and out between the washing area and the bathtub. This is shown in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 1-36462.

[Problem H to be solved by the invention] In bathtubs with steps, the steps allow safe and easy entry and exit into the bathtub, and are also used as seats inside the bathtub. However, if hot water is poured into the bathtub and the steps are submerged by the hot water, it becomes difficult for the bather to see the steps, and safety may decrease, such as by stepping off the step. There is sex.

1 and 2 show one embodiment of a bathtub with a step according to the present invention. In these figures, 1 indicates the bathtub as a whole, and the bathtub 1 has a bathtub bottom 2 on the side of the washing area 10.
A step (bathtub step) 3 is provided at a higher position.

A lamp house 4 is attached to the back side of the step 3. The lamp house 4 has a rectangular shape extending over almost the entire step 3, and a fluorescent lamp 5 is attached to the lamp house 4. The fluorescent lamp 5 is supplied with electricity through a power cord 6 in conjunction with a bathroom light switch so that it emits light.

The light beam emitted by the fluorescent lamp 5 is irradiated onto the back surface of the step 3, and this light beam passes through the step 3 and illuminates the step surface (top surface) of the step 3.
It will now mainly radiate upward. As a result, the step surface of the step 3 becomes a light emitting surface, making it appear as if it is emitting light, and due to this lighting effect, even if the step 3 is submerged in water in the bathtub I, the bather can visually see it. This becomes easier to recognize.

In the embodiment described above, a fluorescent lamp 5 was used as the illumination means, but the illumination means may also be an incandescent bulb (in this case, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4). , incandescent bulb 7
It is sufficient that a plurality of lamp houses 4 holding the lamp housings 4 are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the step 3.

In these cases, the step 3 needs to be light-transmissive, but it is preferably not transparent but semi-transparent with a light transmittance of about 20%, which is preferable for fluorescent lamps 5 or incandescent lamps. The light of 7 is diffused over the entire step 3, making it easier to provide uniform illumination, and there is also an effect that the illumination means disposed on the back surface of the step 3 cannot be seen through it.

In all of the above-mentioned embodiments, illumination means was provided on the back side of the steps to illuminate the steps 3, but the present invention is not limited to this. The steps 3 themselves may be configured to emit light by using semiconductor materials, or the semiconductor materials may be embedded in the steps 3.

[Effects of the Invention] As is clear from the above description, in the bathtub with steps according to the present invention, the steps are illuminated by lighting, and the light makes it easier for the bather to visually recognize the steps. As a result, the steps can be used safely, and the interior of the bathtub emits light, making it possible to create a dramatic effect for the bathtub itself.
