(Prior Art) Conventionally, an opening is formed in the roof of a vehicle, and the upper surface of this opening is covered with a cover member, which can be opened and closed.
A hood-type sunroof device, which is folded and stored at the rear of the vehicle roof when opened, has been used in various countries for a long time because of its wide opening and relatively simple structure.

The cover member is integrated with a front cover and a rear cover provided at the front and rear of the hood member, and the front cover is moved back and forth manually or automatically via guide rails and opening/closing devices provided on the left and right sides of the opening. The cover member is configured to be opened and closed using the cover member.

The cover member ensures good adhesion between the side edges of the hood member and the top surface of the vehicle roof when closed, especially at the time of closing to seal the top surface in close contact with the top surface of the vehicle roof, and also protects against wind pressure from outside the vehicle. In order to maintain good adhesion even when the vehicle is in use, a tension member such as a belt or cable and a tension applying means such as a spring member are provided between the front cover and the rear cover at the left and right ends of the hood member. The tension member is foldable together with the hood member when the cover member is opened, and at the time of closing after the cover member is closed, the tension member compensates for the flexibility of the hood member and
It has the effect of bringing the side ends into close contact with the top surface of the vehicle roof, and although the tension member itself can expand and contract to some extent, it is difficult to achieve perfect contact due to the close contact of the hood member, especially as high-speed driving is required these days. When the vehicle is running, the sides of the hood member lose contact with the roof surface of the vehicle due to wind pressure, and there is a risk that wind or rain may enter the vehicle interior.

Therefore, the tension applying means is provided. This tension applying means is provided with a spring member between the front cover, the rear cover, or either one and the tension member, and the front cover moves forward at the time of closing after the cover member is closed, thereby pulling the spring member. Tension is applied to the tension member, and the biasing force of the tension member causes the sides of the hood member to firmly adhere to the top surface of the vehicle roof after closing, and the wind pressure when the vehicle is running causes the hood member to tighten. When the side part floats upward, the tension of the spring member can be increased to further strengthen its biasing force.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the above-mentioned conventional technology, the spring member uses a tension coil spring, which may rub against the hood member due to repeated loads, damaging the hood member or causing surging. In addition, the connection between the hook part of the spring member and the tension member or cover is easily damaged, and the maximum allowable stress is generally lower than that of compression springs (see JIS B2704). It is necessary to use a device with a large diameter and a large cylinder diameter, making it difficult to improve durability and make it more compact.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The specific means for solving the problems in the present invention are a rear cover fixed to the rear side of the opening in the vehicle roof, and a rear cover that slides back and forth on guide rails provided on both left and right sides of the opening. a movably supported front cover; a hood member that covers the rear cover and the front cover and is connected to them at its front and rear ends and opens and closes an opening by sliding the front cover back and forth;
A tension member provided on the left and right sides of the hood member and whose front and rear ends are connected to the rear cover and the front cover, and an opening provided between at least one end of the tension member and the cover connected to the tension member. In the hood member tensioning device for a hood type sunroof device, the tensioning device has a tensioning means for applying tension to the tensioning member by moving the front cover forward when the front cover is closed. It has a compressible elastic body which is fitted and locked at one end, an elastic body receiving part provided on the cover side and which locks the other end of the compressible elastic body, and a cylindrical part into which the compressive elastic body is externally fitted. .

(Function) When the front cover is moved forward via the slider to bring the cover member into the opening closed state (approximately the state shown by the solid line in Figure 3), the tension members provided at both left and right ends of the hood member I become nervous. From this state, if you move the slider further forward,
The front cover is moved forward and downward via the opening/closing device so as to come into close contact with the opening surrounding material and the upper surface of the front part of the vehicle roof (the state shown in FIG. 4), thereby further tensioning the tension member. This tension causes the elastic body receiving part of the bracket to move toward the cable end side and compress the compression elastic body, and the repulsive force of the elastic body is applied to the tension member, causing both ends of the hood member to move against the top surface of the vehicle roof. Press it elastically to make it stick. Since the elastic body is fitted onto the outside of the bracket tube, its compression and expansion operations are performed without rubbing against the top member.

Therefore, the compression elastic body 22 is fitted onto the tension member 23, one end of which is locked to the distal end of the tension member 23, and the other end of which is locked to the elastic body receiving portion 21b. While the expansion and contraction movements are guided, contact with the canopy member 5 is avoided. After the tension member 23 is tensioned, the front cover 6 is further tensioned.
When the elastic body receiving portion 21b moves forward, the elastic body receiving portion 21b moves closer to the cable end 23a, and the elastic body 22
is compressed within the cylindrical portion 21a. The repulsive force of the compression becomes a tension force that pulls the tension member 23, and becomes an urging force that elastically presses the side end portion of the hood member 5 against the top surface of the vehicle roof.

Incidentally, in the present invention, the cylindrical portion 21a and the elastic body receiving portion 21b are integrally molded on the bracket 21, but they may be separated, and the tension member 2
3 may be a thin belt or the like in addition to a cable, the cover member 4 may be manually opened/closed, and the compression elastic body 22 may be a compression coil spring, rubber, elastic synthetic resin, air cylinder, etc. A well-known type that generates a repulsive force through compression can be used.

(Effects of the invention) According to the invention described in detail above, the tensioning member is formed of a linear material, and the tension applying means is a compression elastic body that is fitted externally to the tensioning member and has one end locked, and a Since it has an elastic body receiving part that locks the other end of the elastic body and a cylinder part into which the compressible elastic body is fitted, the compressible elastic body is compressed when the cover member is closed, and tension is applied to the tension member. The maximum allowable stress is higher than that of a tension spring, and therefore it is possible to improve durability and make it more compact.
In addition, the cylindrical part eliminates friction between the elastic body and the canopy member, making it possible to prevent surging, and furthermore, both ends of the elastic body are locked between the elastic body receiving part and the end of the tension member. Therefore, the connecting parts such as the tension springs are less likely to be damaged and can withstand long-term use.
