[Detailed explanation of the invention] This invention relates to the wariko of Shinai (shinai), especially:
This invention relates to a wariko for a bamboo sword, which allows the broken pieces to remain connected without separating even if the wariko breaks due to impact.

Shinai, as the name suggests, are usually made of natural bamboo, and they easily crack, hang, or break when subjected to severe impact during practice or matches, and in some cases, they can develop sharp, jagged edges. This has even caused the user to get stuck in the face, causing a fatal accident.

In order to prevent such accidents, various types of composite shinai have been developed in which the wariko of the shinai is made from composite materials.
The present applicant has also developed various types of composite shinai with sufficient durability.

However, the biggest problem with composite shinai is that it is not only necessary to improve the strength, but also to maintain a light weight that is equivalent to that of a natural bamboo shinai. Various FRPs, plastics, and other materials that can be used as composite materials.
Since lightweight metals usually have a specific gravity several times that of natural bamboo materials, it is not possible to maintain lightness by simply combining them.

Therefore, it is extremely difficult to make a composite shinai that maintains the same light weight as natural bamboo material and has excellent impact resistance. Overcoming such difficulties, the applicant has developed various composite shinai,
Although we were able to obtain a product with sufficient durability, it did not mean that its service life would be permanent, and as it continued to be used, the splitter would eventually break.
A situation arises in which the fragments are separated from each other.

If the broken pieces of the warizo break off from each other, it may lead to an accident in which the broken side of the warizo pierces the user's body, so even if the warizo is damaged, it should not be split. is the most important.

In order to achieve this object, the shinai wariko of the present invention is a composite shinai wariko equipped with a reinforcing member made of fiber-reinforced plastic, in which at least one linear object and/or strip-shaped object is a wariko of a shinai. The linear objects and/or the strips are embedded in the resin constituting the splitter or embedded in the splitter via an adhesive, and the linear objects and/or strips are integrated with the surrounding resin or adhesive, but the breakage of the splitter During this process, a surface treatment agent is coated or impregnated to prevent it from being separated together with the warts. Further, as the surface treatment agent, a soft resin or a suitable binding agent can be preferably applied. As a result, even if the wart is broken, the broken pieces of the wart are kept connected by the linear or band-like material.

Figure 1 shows the following diagrams to facilitate understanding of the present invention.
A state in which the wariko of a conventional shinai is broken (Figure 1a)
This figure shows the state in which the splitter of the bamboo sword of the present invention is broken (Fig. 1b). In a conventional Shinai, when the wariko 1 breaks due to impact, the wariko 1 is divided into two broken pieces 1a and 1b, and in particular, one of the wariko 1a tends to expand, so that the broken surface 1c hits the body. It was easy to pierce. On the other hand, in the Shinai of the present invention, the linear or band-like material 2 is integrated into the wariko 1 by embedding or gluing, so even if the wariko 1 were to break due to impact, the broken pieces would not break. 1a, 1
b remain interconnected. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate the risk that the broken surface of the splitter will pierce the body.

Figure 2 shows a shinai splitter (normally, a shinai consists of four splitters, one of which is shown in this figure) 1, a linear object 2a or a band-shaped object 2b. It shows what is integrated. Fig. 2a shows a linear object 2a buried in the splitter 1, and Fig. 2b shows a band-shaped object 2b.

FIG. 3 shows a splitter 1 made of various composite materials and a linear object 2a embedded within the splitter 1. As shown in FIG.
, a reinforcing member 6 arranged so as to surround the lightweight core material 5, and a protective material 7 further arranged so as to surround this reinforcing member 6, which is heated and pressurized in a mold. Therefore, it was made into the shape shown in FIG. 3b, and a square was cut along the lines shown by A and B to obtain the splitter 1. As the lightweight core material 5, any lightweight material such as wood can be used. In this case, it is preferable to arrange the wood fibers so that the direction of the wood fibers is oriented toward the side surface of the splitter 1 (horizontal direction in the drawing).
The reinforcing member 6 has the function of withstanding the impact force acting on the splitter 1, and is made of carbon fiber or the like.
It is better to make it from FRP. Since the protective material 7 is a member that comes into direct contact with the opponent's Shinai or Menkin and has the function of protecting the reinforcing member 6, it is preferably made of a material that is less likely to crack or break due to impact, such as high-density polyethylene. Note that the member indicated by number 8 is a thin film that is arbitrarily arranged in order to improve the adhesion between each component, and various thin films, foamed thin films, textiles, etc. can be used.

As shown in FIG. 3b, the lightweight core material 5 has grooves 1
0 is formed along the longitudinal direction of the splitter, and the linear object 2a is fitted into this groove 10. The linear object 2a does not necessarily need to be placed over the entire length of the wart 1, but may be placed only in a part of the wart that is particularly susceptible to damage, such as a certain length part near the tip of the wart. You can.

Two or more linear objects 2a and/or band-like objects 2b that are embedded in the splitter 1 or integrated with the splitter 1 by adhesion or the like can be provided at any arbitrary position of the splitter 1. Figure 4 shows the splitter 1 made of the composite material shown in Figure 3.
Several examples are shown in which linear objects 2a and/or strip objects 2b are integrated. Figure 4a shows 3 inside the protective material 7.
The one in which a linear object 2a of a book is embedded, and the one in FIG.
Fig. 4c shows a case in which the strip 2b is embedded in the protective material 7 and the linear object 2a is embedded in the lightweight core material 5, Fig. 4d
Fig. 4e shows a case in which the protective material 7 and the band-like material 2b are integrated or attached to the entire width of the splitter, and Fig. 4e shows a case in which the band-like material 2b is embedded in the protective material 7 to the full width of the splitter. 4
Fig. f shows a linear object 2a embedded in a lightweight core material 5 of a splitter formed by wrapping a protective material 7 around a reinforcing member 6 formed into an oval shape. Incidentally, the linear objects 2a or the band-like objects 2b can be arranged not only in the longitudinal direction of the warts but also in the width direction of the warts, and by doing so, vertical cracking of the warts can be prevented. In addition, by arranging it diagonally, both vertical and horizontal cracks can be prevented at the same time.

Next, the linear object 2a and the strip-like object 2b will be explained.

Since the linear material 2a and the band-like material 2b serve to hold the broken warts together so that they do not split, it is preferable to use a material with as large an expansion force as possible. For example, it can be made of synthetic fibers such as nylon and Tetron, as well as rubber, lightweight metals, etc.

The filament 2a made of these materials is not only a simple twine, but also has fibers passed through a braided tube, so that it can have the effect of absorbing the impact when the splitter breaks. The belt-like material may be not only a flat plate but also a tape-like fabric.

In addition, if these linear objects 2a or band-like objects 2b are made of various fibers, they will become hard and easily break when adhesives such as epoxy penetrate, so they may be made of soft material such as polyurethane resin or a suitable convergence material. It is preferable to coat or impregnate the material with the agent in advance.

Since the splitter of the shinai of the present invention is constructed as described above, even if the splitter breaks, the broken pieces can be prevented from separating, thus reducing the risk of the broken part piercing the body. can be eliminated.
