つてしまい、その結果競技者が従来の竹製竹刀と
同様な俊敏かつ軽快な動作を行うことが不可能で
あつたことによる。すなわちこれは、安全性を得
るために使用される金属、プラスチツク等の比重
が竹に比べかなり大きなものであることによる
が、これらの金属、プラスチツク等の材料を使用
してしかも竹刀の軽量化を図ると、竹刀の強度が
大幅に低下してしまうという困難が伴なう。
