Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a decorative material wherein printing patterns and recessed and protruding parts are perfectry synchronous by a simple process by printing arbitrary patterns on the surface of the base material made of a synthetic resin of the decorative material using ink containing a solvent dissolving the base material and dissolving the printed parts to form the recessed and protruding parts synchronous to the printed patterns. CONSTITUTION:When arbitrary patterns are printed on the surface of the base material 1 made of a synthetic resin of a decorative material using ink 2 containing a solvent dissolving the base material, the base material is dissolved at the printed parts by the solvent to form recessed parts 3. Therefore, the parts where the applied amount of the printing ink is much become deep and the parts where the applied amount of the printing ink is little become shallow and the parts not printed with the printing ink or printed with printing ink 4 containing no solvent become protruding parts 5. As a result, recessed and protruding parts perfectly synchronous to the printed patterns are formed by merely applying printing without requiring any embossing operation. As the especially pref. base material 1, there is a foamed sheet or plate composed of foamed polystyrene, foamed polyethylene, foamed polypropylene or foamed polyurethane.

Methods for imparting these irregularities include a physical method using an embossing roll and a chemical method that differentiates the heat curing properties of the printing ink. The above embossing method requires two steps of printing and embossing operations, and furthermore, there is a problem in that it is difficult to completely synchronize the printed pattern and the unevenness. Further, chemical methods require special printing inks and special operations after printing, and have the problem that it is difficult to form deep irregularities.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to solve the problems of the above-mentioned prior art and to provide a decorative material in which the printed pattern and the unevenness are completely synchronized through a simple process.

(問題点を解決する為の手段) 上記目的は以下の本発明によって達成される。(Means for solving problems) The above objects are achieved by the present invention as described below.

That is, the present invention prints an arbitrary pattern on the surface of a synthetic resin decorative material base material with ink containing a solvent that dissolves the base material,
This method of manufacturing a decorative material is characterized by dissolving a printed portion to form irregularities that match the printed pattern.

(Function) As shown in the first diagram, when an arbitrary pattern is printed on the surface of the synthetic resin decorative material base material 1 using the ink 2 containing a solvent that dissolves the base material, the base material in the printed area is dissolved in the solvent. The concave portion 3 is formed by melting. Therefore, areas where a large amount of printing ink is applied are deep, areas where a small amount of printing ink is applied are shallow, and areas where printing ink is not applied or where printing ink 4 not containing the solvent is applied form relatively convex portions 5.

Therefore, by simply printing and without any other embossing operation, unevenness that perfectly matches the printed pattern is formed.

The printing ink used in the present invention is similar to conventional gravure printing inks, except that it contains an organic solvent that dissolves the above-mentioned base material, a coloring agent such as a pigment or dye, a binder, a solvent, and the necessary components. It consists of additives.

The printing method is preferably a gravure printing method, and when making a gravure plate, deep corrosion holes are formed in the parts where deep recesses are to be formed in the base material, and shallow corrosion holes are formed in the parts where the recesses are to be formed. A recessed portion of an arbitrary depth is formed in the base material. The corrosion depth is particularly preferably in the range of about 50 to 400 μm.

Furthermore, in the present invention, by using a printing ink that does not contain the above-mentioned substrate-soluble solvent in combination with a printing ink that does not contain the above-mentioned substrate-soluble solvent, even in the same printing ink application area, there can be a part that becomes a recess and a part that does not become a recess. It is possible to freely form a portion, that is, a relatively convex portion, and it is possible to form a printed pattern with a good three-dimensional effect.

And on the surface of a foamed polystyrene sheet with an expansion ratio of 30 times, a winter ring pattern of wood was printed using a gravure printing machine, and on the other hand, the above printing ink (B) was printed in synchronization with the horizontal direction of the annual rings.
As shown in the first diagram, when the summer grain was printed, the winter ring parts remained as they were, but the summer grain parts became recesses of various depths depending on the amount of ink, creating a conduit pattern with an excellent three-dimensional effect. A decorative material was obtained.
