In general, a cathode absorption type sealed lead-acid battery has a structure in which oxygen gas generated from the anode reacts with the cathode active material during charging to prevent the gas from escaping to the outside.
As shown in the figure, although the exhaust hole 2 provided in the battery case lid 1 is sealed with a valve body 3 made of an elastic material such as rubber, for some reason the gas pressure inside the battery increases and exceeds a specified level. When the gas pressure reaches the gas pressure, the valve body 3 is opened to discharge the internal gas to prevent the risk of battery explosion, and the internal gas is discharged to the top lid 4 through the exhaust chamber 5 provided between it and the top lid 4 that covers the top of the battery case lid 1. This structure allows the gas to be released into the atmosphere through gas vent holes 6.

As shown in equation (2), lead oxide reacts with dilute sulfuric acid, which is an electrolytic solution, to produce lead sulfate.

密閉形鉛蓄電池である。 The present invention was made in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks, and is a sealed lead-acid battery in which a valve body is attached to an exhaust hole in an exhaust chamber, and the valve body is submerged in water in the exhaust chamber. The upper surface of the body is pressed by the lower surface of the exhaust plug, and the exhaust plug has a gas vent hole on the lower surface, a porous filter on the upper surface, and a space between the lower surface and the upper surface. The sealed lead-acid battery is characterized in that the battery is detachably attached to the exhaust chamber.

フイルターである。 An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 2. Water 7 is stored in the exhaust chamber 5 provided in the battery case lid 1, and a valve body made of an elastic material such as rubber is inserted into the exhaust hole 2 in the water. Submerge the part where 3 is attached in water. A lid 10 is attached to the exhaust chamber 5, which is provided with a gas vent hole 8 and a liquid return hole 9 for pressing the upper surface of the valve body 3 and covering the exhaust chamber 5.
The circumferential surface of 0 is fixed to a mounting cylinder part 12 having a threaded part 11, and an upper lid 14, which is installed above the lid 10 through a space 13 so as to cover the space 13, is also installed in the same way as the lid 10. It is fixed to the cylindrical part 12,
The lid 10 and the upper lid 14 constitute a mounting cylinder portion 12 and an exhaust plug 15. To attach the exhaust plug 15 to the exhaust chamber 5, the screw portion 11 of the mounting cylinder portion 12 is screwed into the screw portion 16 provided on the battery case cover 1 above the exhaust chamber 5, and the second It is installed as shown in the figure. 17 is a porous filter fixed to the center of the upper lid 14.

ことができる。 The present invention has a structure as described above, and when a sealed lead-acid battery deviates from its normal usage condition for some reason and an abnormally large amount of gas is generated, exceeding the ability to absorb and react with the cathode active material, When the inside of the battery is in a high pressure state, the valve body 3 opens to exhaust the internal gas and reduce the pressure, but the gas that can be exhausted passes through the gas vent hole 8, enters the space 13, and fills the porous filter. When it collides with the wall of the hole 17, it is cooled on the wall and condenses to form dew, which falls onto the upper surface of the lid 10. Then it turns into liquid again and passes through the gas vent hole 8.
Alternatively, the liquid may flow back into the exhaust chamber 5 from the liquid reflux hole 9, but it may not be cooled by the porous filter 17 and may pass through the pore walls of this part and be dissipated into the atmosphere. In addition, there is a decrease in water as the battery ages, but the present invention has an exhaust chamber 5 that can store water 7.
Since the exhaust plug 15 is detachably attached to the exhaust chamber 5, water can be easily poured into the exhaust chamber 5.
