Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a manufacturing process automatic without damaging a folded leaf by printing a web which is fed form a sheet feed part continuously to be prepared into a roll-like printed sheet, then feeding this printed web to be cut to a specified length and folding the cut sheet into a folded leaf, and finally feeding each folded leaf to be bound into a book. CONSTITUTION:A web which is fed form a sheet feed roll of a sheet feed part 8 is printed in multicolor by a printing part 3. Then the printed web is dried by a drying part 4 and is taken up by a winding part 9 into a roll-like printed sheet 6. Next, the printed web is fed to a cutter 27 side form the roll-like printed sheet 6 on a reel stand 26, and is cut to a specified length by a sheet cutter 27b into a printed sheet of specified form length 32. The printed sheet 32 passing through a reject device 28 is folded by a folding device 29 into a folded leaf 33. These folded leaves are transported to a book binding device to be bound into a book. Thus the folded leaf 33 no longer becomes bent or damaged and a manufacturing process becomes automatic.
