Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce high-quality graftings by winding an adhesive tape on the outer periphery of a bonding part of cut faces of scion and stock or sandwiching the bonding part in between the adhesive tape from both the sides and bonding so that inner faces of the adhesive tape are rubbed to bond the bonding part of the cut faces of scion and stock. CONSTITUTION:A stock 1 to be subjected to grafting and a hypocotyl of a scion 2 are cut slantingly, respectively, at a grafting position and cut faces are brought into contact each other to give a bonding part 3 of cut faces. Then an adhesive tape 4 is wound on the bonding part of cut faces in such a way that bonding faces 5 of inner faces at both ends are opposed, the opposing parts of the adhesive tape 4 are rubbed from the outside to the bonding part 3 of cut faces and the whole bonding part 3 is bonded. The opposing part of the adhesive tape 4 is cut at a cutting part 6 so as to leave a fixed amount of the opposing part. Consequently, the bonding part 3 of cut faces is bonded by the adhesive tape 4 and grafting operation is completed. Therefore high- quality graftings are produced.
