Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a plug-in substrate and make a device compact and large in capacity by mounting electronic circuit parts to an airtight retention cover of a disk device. CONSTITUTION:A pattern is formed on an airtight retention cover 9 of a disk device and electronic circuit parts 10 for controlling a device are mounted. Also, a spindle motor 3 and a connector 12 for making connection to a FPC 7 are provide at an airtight retention cover 9 and the connector 12 is connected by mounting the cover 9 onto a base 8, thus eliminating the need for a plug-in substrate and achieving miniaturization by dimensions A which can be used for HDA for improved device volume ratio of HDA and a compact and large- volume disk device.

ッピーディスク装置とサイズ的に交換性が要求される小
型磁気ディスク装置に於ては、決められたサイズの制限
がある中で大容量化を図る上で阻害すると云う不具合を
招いていた。

り一ド/ライトを行う磁気ヘッド4、磁気ヘッド4を支
持するためのキャリッジ5、キャリッジ5を駆動し、磁
気ヘッド4をデータのり−ド/ライトのために磁気記録
円板2に位置決めするアクチュエータ6、磁気ヘッド4
からの信号を回路部に伝送するためのFPC7とこれら
機構を支持するベース8と、該ベース8上の機構を密閉
的に覆う気密保持カバー9とから構成されている。

来と同一外形寸法にてHDAの装置容積率を向上させる
ことが出来る為、ディス装置の小型大容量化を図ること
が出来ると云う効果がある。

めに該キャリッジを駆動するアクチュエータを備えたデ
ィスク装置に於て、前記磁気記録円板及び磁気ヘッド並
びにキャリッジ、アクチュエータを外気としや断する気
密保持カバーに電子回路部品を実装したことを特徴とす
るディスク装置。
