Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent loss of remote control and to omit the requirement for replacement of a battery by providing a constitution wherein a remote control means is held at the first position or moved from the first position to the second position when the remote control means is discriminated with a discriminating means. The terminal 20 is engaged with the terminal 18 of the remote control device 12, and charging is performed. Thus, the loss of the remote control device 12 can be prevented, and the replacement of a battery 17 is not required. Therefore the operability of the VTR can be improved.
