  1. 動力伝達装置において原動機により駆動される
    発電機と、これにより発生した電気により駆動さ
    れる電動機における機能部分を共用させ、例えば
    固定子（ステータ）を共用させ、その同芯円周状
    に、内側には発電機用の回転子（ロータ）を、外
    側には電動機用の回転子（ロータ）を備え、発電
    機で発生した電流を制御し、電動機を作動させる
    ことにより、原動機の特性とは異なる実用性の高
    い出力特性を得ることができる電気式トルクコン
    バータ。
