Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect looseness simply in a universal way by judging the looseness of a bolt based on the cracks of brittle paint applied on the top surface of the tightened bolt. CONSTITUTION:Brittle paint 4 which is adjusted by dissolving nitrocellulose into solvent is applied on the top surface of a head part of a bolt 1 in the tightened state. In the bolt 1 under the tightened state, tensile force 3 acts on a shaft part 02, and compression strain is generated in the direction of the radius at the surface of the head part 01. When the bolt 1 is loosened and the tensile force 3 is decreased, the top surface of the bolt 1 is expanded and returned to the flat state. At the same time, the brittle paint 4 is pulled, and a cracks 5 occur. The cracks develop into a plurality of concentric circle states. Thus, the looseness can be detected.

For example, a head 01 and a shaft 02 as shown in FIGS.
There are two types of loosening when a hexagonal bolt is fastened: non-rotational loosening and rotating loosening. In both cases, the bolt axial force decreases, so an axial force meter using strain gauges, ultrasonic waves, magnetostrictive phenomena, etc. An axial force measurement method is known that measures bolt axial force and detects bolt loosening. Also known are a torque check method using a torque wrench and an acoustic method using a test hammer.

One embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
The same reference numerals as in the figure indicate the same members as in the same figure. First, in the side view of FIG. The bolt in the fastened state is deformed with a dish-shaped depression in the center. 4 is a brittle paint that is applied to the top surface of the head of bolt 1 in the fastened state and has almost no elongation. It is made by dissolving nitrocellulose resin or pine resin as soil with a solvent. It is prepared using

In such a structure, in the bolt 1 in the fastened state, a tensile force 3 acts on the shaft portion 02, and compressive strain in the radial direction is generated on the top surface of the head 01, so the bolt in the fastened state loosens and the tensile force 3 decreases, the top surface of Pole 1 in the fastened state stretches and restores its flat shape, and as shown in the drawing 2 and the partial sectional view of Fig. 3, the brittle paint 4 is cracks 5 are generated, which develop in a plurality of concentric circles.

At that time, for example, if the nominal value is MIO and the strain of the shaft part 02 is 10
For a bolt of 00 to 1500X10-', the strain in the head 01 is 1300 to 500XI01, so if you use a scouring coating 114 with a detection limit of several hundred μm, the tortoise g5 of it can be detected visually or with a low-magnification magnifying glass. Therefore, a decrease in the axial force of the fastened bolt 1, that is, loosening, can be detected by the crack 5.

In order to facilitate visual inspection of the cracks 5, fine aluminum powder may be mixed into the brittle paint 4, or the brittle paint 4 may be illuminated with oblique light using a flashlight during observation.
