PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head fixing structure keeping its fixing function even in a long-time use or under a harsh environment by a construction wherein a top end part of a fixing bolt is inserted to a through hole to prevent the rotation of a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 1c is formed on the top end part of an arm 1b. A screw hole 6 is formed on a side plate 4 so as to be opposed to the through hole 1c. When a fixing bolt 5 is fitted into the screw hole 6, a top end part 5a is inserted to the through hole 1c to fix the rotation of the arm 1b. In this manner, the arm 1b of a thermal head 1 is fixed to the side plate 4 with the fixing bolt 5, whereby the thermal head 1 can be positively prevented from rotating and abutting against a platen 2.
