本発明は、積層型圧電アクチュエータ、時にプリンタの
印字ハンマの駆動に用いられる積層型圧電アクチュエー

端に接合され、圧電性を持たないダミー層3とを含む四
角柱の圧電素子本体4と、圧電素子本体4の変位方向に
対して垂直な相対する両面に、両端のダミー層3に亘っ
て配設される外部電極5と、通常層1上の外部電極5に
それぞれ1本づつ接合されるリード線8とを有する構造
となっている。リード線8に電圧を印加すると積層型圧

エータにおいて、前記圧電素子本体の変位方向に垂直か
つ前記外部電極の設けられた面と並行に前記ダミー層上
の2本の外部電極のそれぞれに接合された端子を有する
ことにより、また、前記端子が、前記圧電素子本体の変
位方向かつ前記外部電極の設けられた面と並行に前記ダ
ミー層上の2本の外部電極のそれぞれに接合された端子

立ても容易にする効果がある。また、動作中に端子と圧
電素子本体との間の動きが殆んどなく、端子の破損が少
なく、圧電素子の効率低下も生じないという効果もある

された端子を有することを特徴とする積層型圧電アクチ
