Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform press-fitting and caulking work simultaneously so as to improve manufacturing efficiency by providing a punch body elastically in a punch outer casing by a compression spring, and pushing the punch body down by a fluid pressure cylinder so as to mutually narrow the lower ends of plural caulking claws provided at a caulking means supporting case body. CONSTITUTION:A thin steel pipe A is set to a frame 1, and the inner ring of a bearing B is inserted into the punch part tip small diameter cylinder part 4b1 of a punch body 4. A punch outer casing 3 and the punch body 4 are pushed down by a cylinder rod 11a so as to bring the outer ring of the bearing B into contact with the upper end peripheral edge of the thin steel pipe A. With further lowering, the punch body 4 is pushed down through a compression spring 6 provided at the upper part of the punch body 4 to perform the press-fitting of the bearing B. Simultaneously with the completion of press-fitting, a caulking means supporting body 7 and caulking claws 88 are stopped in their descent, but the punch outer casing 3 continues its descent, and the protrusion 3c of the punch outer casing 3 presses the pressing parts 8a of the caulking claws 8. The caulking claws 8 are thereby oscillated, and thin steel pipe A is caulked by caulking parts 8b.

As a result of repeated research, the invention was developed by disposing a thin-walled steel pipe on this thin wall so as to face a punch body for press-fitting a bearing, and the punch body being fixed to the end of the cylinder rod of a fluid pressure cylinder within a punch outer casing. a crimping tool support housing is loosely inserted and supported in the bunch outer casing, a plurality of crimping pawls are movably provided in the crimping tool support housing, and the crimping pawls are movably provided in the crimping tool support housing. This is a bearing press-fit crimping device in which the lower ends of the plurality of crimping claws are narrowed to each other when the punch outer casing descends and the crimping tool support casing stops descending. Press-fitting and caulking can be performed almost simultaneously, which solves the above-mentioned problem III.

First, according to the present invention, first, the thin-walled steel pipe A is set with the fixture 2 provided on the machine frame l, and in the state shown by the solid line in FIG.
Insert the inner ring of bearing B into b+. This insertion force prevents it from falling.Next, from the solid line position in Figure 6, the fluid pressure cylinder 11 is lubricated and the cylinder rod is lubricated.
la is lowered, and along with this lowering, the punch outer casing 3 and the punch body 4 are lowered. Then, the outer ring end of the bearing B is brought into contact with the upper end periphery of the thin-walled steel pipe A (see the chain line in FIG. 6), and when it is further lowered, the bearing B is press-fitted by the punch body 4 via the compression spring 6. This press-fitting is performed using a force that resists the elastic force of the compression spring 6. When the punch body 4 for press-fitting the bearing enters the end of the thin-walled steel pipe A and the press-fitting process of the bearing B is completed (see FIG. 7), the crimping tool support housing 7 is moved to the position regulating member 12.
The crimping tool support housing 7 and the crimping claw 8°8,
... is stopped downward (see Figure 7).

Further, when the cylinder rod lla and the punch outer casing 3 are lowered, the pressing portion 8a of the caulking pawl 8 is pressed by the protrusion 3C of the punch exterior casing 3, and the caulking pawl 8 is supplemented and the caulking portion is pressed. At step 8b, the caulking action of the thin-walled cylindrical portion at the uppermost end of the thin-walled steel pipe A is completed (see FIGS. 8 to 10).

In the present invention, the thin-walled steel pipe A is provided on this axis so as to face the punch body 4 for press-fitting the bearing,
The punch body 4 is slidably resiliently disposed within a punch outer casing 3 fixed to the end of the cylinder rod Ila of a fluid pressure cylinder 11 via a compression spring 6, and a caulking tool support casing 7 is freely attached to the punch outer casing 3. A plurality of crimping pawls 8.8. . . are provided in a swingable manner, and the plurality of crimping claws 88, . . . , 88, . ...By using a bearing positive staking device whose lower ends are narrowed toward each other, firstly, press-fitting and staking work can be performed at the same time, secondly, work time is reduced, and manufacturing efficiency is improved. Thirdly, equipment costs can be reduced, and fourthly, crimping work can be performed in extremely good conditions.

To explain these effects in detail, first of all, press-fitting and crimping work can be performed almost simultaneously on the same machine, which is much more efficient than the conventional method of performing press-fitting and crimping work separately. In addition, manufacturing efficiency can be increased.

Further, the punch body 4 is slidably provided within a punch outer casing 3 fixed to the end of the cylinder rod lla of the fluid pressure cylinder 11, and the punch outer casing 3 and the punch body 4 are elastically connected via a compression spring 6. Therefore, the force for press-fitting the bearing is not the force of the fluid pressure cylinder 11, but the force repelling the compression spring 6, and since the predetermined repulsive force of the spring is utilized, the bearing can be press-fitted with a constant press force at all times. This in turn allows for good positive work.

In addition, in the present invention, unlike the conventional method, since the bearing B is press-fitted and caulked in the same mounting and fixed state, the bearing B becomes coaxial with the caulking after press-fitting (the axis at the time of press-fitting and the axis at the time of caulking) (are the same), the caulking work can be performed with an even pressing force, and the uneven load that the bearing B receives can be almost eliminated.

As mentioned above, not only can press-fitting and caulking work be done at the same time, but also this can be done easily and quickly.
