- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 対向配置された一対の液晶基板と、 上記液晶基板内面相互間に封止された旋光性を
有する液晶層と、 上記液晶基板の外面に配置された一対の偏光板
とを有する液晶表示装置において、 上記一対の液晶基板の一方が上記液晶層の複屈
折性に対応した複屈折性を有し、これにより上記
液晶層の複屈折性による着色を減少させる位相補
償板であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
