Abstract

PURPOSE:To change contents to be set in a memory switch without requiring complicated operating procedures of a switch and wasting sheets by providing a setting device which sets print information received from an outer interface. CONSTITUTION:If a setting mode is selected for a memory switch part 2 using a switch input part and an outer interface part 3, a master control part 1 outputs data consisting of information from the memory switch part 2 and a signification of said information to an outer system of a printer through an outer interface part 3. Data can be displayed on an indicator part of a device capable of sending/receiving data from the master control part 1 by connecting the device to the outer interface part 3. An operator can enter data on changed details through a keyboard watching a message thanks to the indication of a message on the indicator part of the device. If the changed details entered by the operator are sent to the master control part 1 through the outer interface part 3, the master control part 1 changes the settings of the memory switch part 2 based on the changed details.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a printer, and more particularly to a memory switch for storing printing conditions in a printer.
