Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the soldered portion of a lead from being cracked or broken by making a cut in the portion of a contact holder hole of a connector body corresponding to the absorption beam portion utilizing a cut formed on both sides of the root of the contact lead. CONSTITUTION:A cut 21 is formed in the portion of a holding hole 11 corresponding to an absorbing beam portion 24 when the contact 2 is attached to the holding hole 11 of a body 1. The terminal section of a circuit pattern 6 of a wiring board 5 is connected by soldering to the lead section 21 of the contact 2. As a result, excessive force is prevented from being applied to the root of the lead 21 even if the lead 21 is pushed up because the absorbing beam portion 24 made by the cut 23 follows the movement of the lead 21, or even if the lead 21 is pulled down because the beam portion 24 smoothly follows the movement of the lead 21 owing to the presence of the cut 12 in the holding hole 11. Thus, soldering portion at the joint between a circuit pattern and connector lead end and the root of the connector lead end are prevented from being separated or broken.

Reference numeral 3 denotes a lock pin attached to both left and right ends of the body 1. The lock pin 3 is provided with two arms 31 divided into forked shapes, and the tip of each arm 31 has a protrusion shaped laterally. A locking portion 32 is provided. When placing the connector on the board, the arm 31 of the lock pin 3 is inserted into the mounting hole 10 provided in the board 5. When the insertion is completed, the elastic force of the forked arm 3 of the lock pin 3 temporarily fixes the connector to the board to such an extent that it cannot be easily moved.

Technical problem to be solved by the invention C9 In surface mounting technology, when parts such as connectors arranged on a board are soldered to terminals of a circuit pattern on the board, the process of heat treatment for soldering is required. In some cases, contact leads are soldered with the board warped due to the difference in thermal properties between the board and the connector, and in this case, when the mounted board returns to room temperature after soldering, the board warps. returns to its original state, and a tensile or compressive force is applied to the lead of the contact, causing random deformation of the lead of the contact, and in the case of minute objects, the boundary between the mating part of the contact and the lead part, and Soldering the leads had technical problems that needed to be resolved, such as cracks and cuts occurring in the parts.

■Since there is an absorption beam section, even if there is expansion and contraction due to the phase amount of thermal physical properties after the thermal history such as heat treatment for soldering and cooling for solder solidification, the difference will be absorbed by the absorption beam section. However, unreasonable expansion and contraction force is not concentrated on weak points such as between the tail portions or soldered portions of the fitting portion of the connector.

(2) Since a notch is provided in the contact holding hole corresponding to the contact beam part, even if the absorption beam part moves due to thermal history, it can move freely, so no mechanical strain occurs.

In the above connector according to the present invention, even if the lead part 21 of the contact is pushed upward, the absorption beam part 24 follows this, so that no excessive force is applied to the base part of the lead 24. On the other hand, even if the lead part 21 of the contact is pulled downward, the absorption beam part 24 of the contact 2 can follow it without any trouble because the notch part 12 is provided in the holding hole 11 of the body 1. In this case as well, no excessive tension is applied to the lead 24.

[Effects of the Invention] Since the electrical connector according to the present invention has the structure described in detail above, it undergoes thermal history such as heating and cooling during the surface mounting process, and heat due to expansion/contraction rate etc. occurs between the board and the electrical connector. Even if there are differences in physical properties, the present invention does not cause damage such as peeling or breakage to the soldered part between the terminal part of the circuit pattern of the board and the lead end of the connector, or to the root of the lead of the connector. It has a unique effect.
