In the figure, 1 is a light source, 2 is a dial that converts the light from light source 1 into a character image, 3 is a lens system through which the light of the character image passes, and 31 is a lens system that directs the light from lens system 3 to optical paths 40 and 41. Separating half mirror, 12 is optical path 40
5 is a travel lens placed after the shutter 12; 6 is photographic paper on which the character image from the travel lens 5 is exposed; 7 is an X-direction drive mechanism for driving the travel lens 5; 8 is a Y to move the photographic paper 6 in the Y direction
The direction drive mechanism 4 is a feed control section that controls the X direction drive mechanism 7 and the Y direction drive mechanism 8. 32 is a camera such as a television camera that electronically captures the character image from the optical path 41; 35 is a central control unit that controls the entire system; and 34 is a camera that is controlled by the central control unit 35 and digitally captures the character image captured by the camera 32. 36 is a digitizer that binarizes the captured character image; 37 is a display memory that stores the binarized character image; 39 is a CRT as a means for displaying the character image; 38 is a display memory 37; This is a display control unit that controls the CRT 39 based on display data. Next, the operation will be explained. When one of the many characters housed on the dial 2 is selected, light is applied by the light source 1 to obtain a character image, which passes through the lens system 3 and is segmented by the half mirror 31. One of the lights passes through the optical path 40 to be recorded on the photographic paper 6, the shutter 12 is turned on and off, and the light enters the travel lens 5. The travel lens 5 is moved to a predetermined position on the photographic paper 6 by the X-direction drive mechanism 7. Further, the position of the photographic paper 6 in the Y direction is moved to a predetermined position by the Y direction drive mechanism 8. When the shutter 12 is turned on in this state, the character image selected on the dial 2 is exposed at a predetermined position on the photographic paper 6. The other light that has been split by the half mirror 31 passes through the optical path 41 and is input to the camera 32 to be imaged. The output from the camera 32 is binarized by a digitizer 36 and stored in a display memory 37 as display data. This display data is sent to the CRT 3 via the display control section 38.
9, characters are displayed. In this way, the same character image recorded on the photographic paper 6 is
It is configured so that it can be viewed on a CRT39.

得ることを目的とする。Since the conventional phototypesetting machine is configured as described above, the photographic paper 6 used here is limited to monochrome paper. Therefore, when printing in color, in the next process it is necessary to mask the block created by a phototypesetting machine and create a block for each desired color, which creates problems such as complicating the process. . This invention was made to solve the above problems! The purpose is to obtain a phototypesetting machine that can easily create color versions.

T10a is used. This color CRT 10
a is controlled by the central control unit 35, so that R,
G and B color lights are sequentially emitted and applied to the dial 2. Reference numeral 11 denotes a color sensitive material such as color photographic paper, which is moved in the Y direction by a Y direction drive mechanism 8 so that the color character image from the travel lens 5 is exposed. Note that the shutter 12, travel lens 5, etc. constitute an exposure means. Next, the operation will be explained. Note that in the following description, "characters" include numbers, symbols, and the like. When a character on the dial 2 is selected and a color is specified, the central control unit 35 sends a light emission signal of the specified color to the color CRTIOa. The light of the specified color emitted from the color CRTIOa becomes a color character image with the shade of the character selected by the dial 2, passes through the lens system 3, half mirror 31, optical path 40, shutter 12, travel lens 5,
The color sensitive material 11 is exposed. In this way, a color block copy of the specified color is obtained. Note that the processing of the character image captured by the camera 32, the X and Y position control of the color photosensitive material 11, etc. are the same as in the conventional example shown in FIG. As described above, by changing the designated colors, for example, in the order of R, C, B, and replacing the color photosensitive material 11, color printing plates for each of R, G, and B can be obtained. Further, it is also possible to expose R, G, and B color character images onto the -th sheet of color photosensitive material 11. In addition, in the above embodiment, the monitor camera 32 and the CRT 3
9 used a monochrome one, but a color camera or a color CRT may be used for the monitor. Further, in the above embodiment, the color light source 10 is a color CR
Although the filter is configured using T 10 a, a color filter may also be used. An example in which color filters are used will be described with reference to FIG. In the figure, 10b is a halogen lamp;
10c is R, G that allows the light of the halogen lamp 10b to pass through.
, B color filter, 10d is 3 from color filter 10c
This is a liquid crystal aperture that adjusts the amount of light for each color. Next, the operation will be explained. The light emitted from the halogen lamp 10b is divided into three colors of R, G, and B light by the color filter 10c. On the other hand, the central control unit 35 controls R, G,
The mixing ratio of the B33 colors is calculated, and the aperture amounts are instructed to the liquid crystal aperture 10d corresponding to each of R, G, and B. In this way, light of any color can be created. The subsequent operation is performed in the same way as when the color CRT 10a is used by sequentially changing the color light. Further, in this embodiment, a printing plate of any color can be obtained.

がある。As described above, according to the present invention, a color light source that selectively emits a plurality of colored lights and a color sensitive material are used, so color printing can be easily done by simply specifying the color of the color light source. There are effects that can be obtained using a phototypesetting machine.
