Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform bookbinding using a small amount of an adhesive by folding pasteboard double using a perforation as a fold line and applying a hot-melt adhesive to the outside end surface of the fold line to bond said end surface to the inside surface of a back cover through the adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A spacer (8) whose end part is subjected to release treatment is interposed between a plurality of pasteboards 1 folded double along the perforation (3) provided on the center line of one pasteboard in the longitudinal direction thereof and the end surface of the spacer and the end surfaces of the pasteboards are allowed to coincide with each ether to be grasped by grasping plates (9) and a hot-melt adhesive (4) is applied to the outside end surfaces of the fold line of the pasteboards and the holes (3a) of the perforation and the adhesive applied surfaces are bonded to the inside surface of a back cover (6) under pressure as shown by Fig 8 and Fig 9. After the applied adhesive is dried, the spacer (8) is removed to form an album (7). Since the adhesive is applied to the folded outside end surfaces by providing the perforation, strong adhesion can be carried out by the adhesive penetrating from the holes of the perforation and adhesion effect can be developed by a small amount of the adhesive.

(Conventional Known Technology) When photos and the like are stored in an album, the thickness of each mount increases. Examples of ideas and inventions to facilitate the opening and closing of this increased number of mounts include Utility Model Publication No. 63-25176 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 63-2517.
No. 1-233592 and the like are disclosed.

In the case of the mount book shown in the former idea, during bookbinding, the spacer inserted between the mounts is placed at a position away from the part where the adhesive is to be applied. The binding edge becomes distorted, and it becomes impossible to maintain a constant distance between the mounts, which is intended to be regulated by a spacer, and the distance tends to be irregular. Furthermore, since the adhesive is used as a spacer after binding, the adhesive swells up on the spine, giving the impression that it is protruding between the mounts, which does not look good on the outside.

In the mount book according to the latter invention, a spacer is interposed inside the mount book which is folded in half, and the outer surface of the folded convex side is glued, so that when the pages of the mount book are turned over, the depth at which the pages can be opened differs depending on the page. In other words, there is unevenness in the edge surface and the layer of adhesive that adheres to that surface, resulting in pages that open easily and pages that do not open well. Some users do not understand this and force pages that open poorly. There is a risk of it opening and causing damage.

(Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention) In order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, the present invention applies adhesive evenly to the end face of the folded backing paper, and also uses a sewing machine provided on the folded backing paper to partially remove the adhesive. This objective is achieved by making it possible to bind a book with a small amount of adhesive by penetrating the inner end surface of the eyes.

The method for manufacturing the above-mentioned album is to provide a perforation (3) on the center line in the longitudinal direction and insert a spacer (8) whose end is released between each of the plurality of mounts (1) which are folded in half. The outer end surfaces of the spacer and the mount are aligned and held between the clamping plates (9), and the hot-melt adhesive (4) is applied to the outer end surface of the mount with the application roller (10). The surface to which the adhesive is applied is pressed against the inner surface of the back cover (6), and after drying, the spacer (8) is removed.

Further, since perforations (3) are formed on the fold lines, the adhesive (4) permeates through the holes (3a), so strong adhesive force can be obtained with a small amount of adhesive. Spine cover (6)
When crimping the mounts on the mounts, the spacer (8) is interposed and the end surface matches the end surface of the mount, so the mount will not be distorted by the pressure and the distance between the mounts will maintain the thickness and width of the spacer. Glued. Since the spacer has been subjected to mold release treatment, it can be easily removed after drying.

The album manufacturing method is shown in Figures 5 to 7.
A spacer (8) whose end has been subjected to mold release treatment is interposed between each of a plurality of mounts (1) which are folded in half with a perforation (3) on the center line in the longitudinal direction, and the end face of the spacer and the above-mentioned Align the edges of the mount and hold it between the clamping plates (9), and apply the hot-melt adhesive (4) to the outside edge of the mount along the fold line and the perforation holes (3a) using the coating roller (10). ,
The surface to which the adhesive is applied is pressed onto the inner surface of the back cover (6) as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9. After the applied adhesive dries, remove the spacer (8) and the album shown in Figure 4 (
7) is formed. Note that known devices such as an adhesive solution tank and a doctor blade during the manufacturing process are omitted from illustration.

(C) Effects of the Invention As shown in the above structure, the present invention provides perforations and applies adhesive to the bent outer end surface, so it penetrates through the perforations and forms a strong bond, and can be bonded with a small amount of adhesive. It is economical because it has an adhesive effect.

In addition, since the end face of the spacer matches the folded end face of the backing paper, the spacing between each backing paper is always kept constant, and since the adhesive to the spine is only on the outer edge of the folded cover, there is no unevenness in the opening of the pages, and no The page opening is No. 8, Figure 9, procedural amendment (voluntary), November 2, 1990.
