[産業上の利用分野] 本考案は蓄電池に使用される蓄電池液栓(以
下、単に液栓という)の改良に関するものであ
り、液栓には数種の部品から構成されている液栓
と1部品構成の液栓とがあるが、本考案は1部品
構成の液栓の改良に関するものである。 [従来技術] 従来、1部品構成の液栓としては、例えば第3
図および第4図に示すように、液栓本体1の下部
に一体に防沫筒2を設け、該防沫筒2の側部にス
リツト3を設け、そして第4図に示すように防沫
筒2の下端に一体に板状体4を防沫筒2の下端か
ら垂下させた構造にして、液栓本体1、防沫筒
2、板状体4を同時に一体成形し、その後板状体
4を第3図に示すように折曲げて防沫筒2の下端
開口を覆つた構造のものがある。 [考案が解決しようとしている問題点] しかし、上記した如き従来の液栓を自動車、建
設機械等の激しい振動下で使用される蓄電池に用
いた場合、振動時に防沫筒2側部のスリツト3か
ら液栓本体1内に侵入する電解液によつて溢液を
起こす場合があつた。 本考案は上記した如き問題点を解消し、コスト
面で有利な1部品構成の液栓で、しかも溢液防止
性能の高い液栓を提供するものである。 [問題点を解決するための手段] 即ち、本考案液栓は側部にスリツトを有する防
沫筒を液栓本体下部に一体に設け、且つ前記スリ
ツト前面1.5〜2.0mmの位置にスリツト遮蔽板を配
するとともに、液栓内部空間を排気可能な間隙を
残して2室に分断するように配した液栓内部仕切
り板を有する構造にしたものである。 [作用] したがつて本考案液栓においては、振動による
電解液はスリツト遮蔽板により遮蔽されて防沫筒
側部のスリツトから液栓本体内に侵入することが
ほとんどなく、また微量の電解液が液栓本体内に
侵入しても内部を2分する液栓内部仕切り板によ
り溢液を防止できる。また蓄電池内部より発生し
たガスは防沫筒側部のスリツトとスリツト遮蔽板
との隙間を通つて液栓本体内に容易に入り、そし
て外部に排出される。 [実施例] 以下、本考案液栓を第1図および第2図に示す
一実施例を用いて説明する。第1図および第2図
において、1は液栓本体、2は液栓本体1の下部
に一体に設けられた防沫筒で、該防沫筒2は側部
にスリツト3を有している。4は防沫筒2のスリ
ツト3を設けた側壁と対向する側壁の下端に一体
に設けた板状体で、該板状体4は液栓本体1、防
沫筒2と同時に一体成形され、成形直後は第2図
に示すように防沫筒2の下端から垂下した状態と
なつている。この垂下した状態の板状体4は第1
図に示すようにa,b,c部で折曲げられ、防沫
筒2の下端開口を覆うとともに側部のスリツト3
の前面に配されてスリツト遮蔽板6となり、さら
に液栓本体1のネジ部直下に設けた嵌め込み部5
に嵌め込まれて液栓本体1と防沫筒2で形成され
た液栓内部空間を、通気性を有する2室に分断す
液栓内部仕切り板7を形成する。 即ち、本考案実施例は外観上、防沫筒2側部の
スリツト3が目視できない構造にして液栓本体1
内に多量の電解液が侵入するのを防ぐとともに、
液栓内部空間を分断することにより液栓本体1内
に侵入した微量の電解液の溢液を防止できるよう
にし、二重の耐溢液効果を得ることができるよう
にしたもので、これにより十分な溢液防止性能を
得ることができた。また本考案実施例は第3図に
示した従来のものに比べて、板状体4が少し大き
くなるだけであるため、さほどコストが高くなる
ことはない。 なお、防沫筒2側部のスリツト遮蔽板6と防沫
筒2側部のスリツト3との隙間dは1.5〜2.0mmが
適当である。また液栓を成形する材質はポリプロ
ピレン、ポリエチレン等の合成樹脂とする。さら
に液栓内部仕切り板7はスリツト3の上端より上
方であれば、液栓本体1内あるいは防沫筒2内の
いずれに挿入してもよく、また挿入後の状態は実
施例に示した水平状態あるいは下方に傾斜する状
態等いずれの状態にしてもよい。また液栓内部仕
切り板7の先端にガス排気用の孔を形成するため
の切り欠き部あるいはスリツトを設け、その先端
を防沫筒2等の内壁に密接するようにしてもよ
い。 次に第1図に示した如き構造の本考案液栓と第
3図に示した如き構造の従来の液栓を蓄電池に装
着し、種々の振動条件で加振して溢液状態を調べ
た試験結果を次表に示す。
