Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a thin metal article having a fine pattern transferred from the surface of a combustible substrate by spreading a plastic compsn. contg. noble metal powder on the surface of the substrate, sintering the resulting formed body in a solid phase, burning and removing the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A plastic compsn. such as a mixture of a water-soluble cellulose binder with a surfactant, fat and oil is mixed with noble metal powder to obtain a plastic compsn. for forming. A substrate made of a combustible material and having a desired pattern is prepd. The plastic compsn. for forming is spread thinly on the surface of the substrate to form a formed body having a desired shape. This formed body is sintered in a solid phase and the substrate is burned to obtain a metal article.

First, in this example, the materials for the metal article are: noble metal powder: 50-90% by weight, cellulose-based water-soluble binder 208-8% by weight, surfactant 0.03-3% by weight, oil and fat 20% by weight. , 1 to 3% by weight, with the remainder consisting of water and unavoidable impurities. Prior to explaining the method for producing the metal article, the procedure for producing this contrast-enhancing plastic composition will be explained.

Next, the reason why the composition of the plastic composition for modeling was determined as described above will be explained.

(s) Precious metal powder Precious metal powders such as gold, silver, copper, platinum, and their alloys are the main components of plastic modeling compositions and are important elements that determine the color of products. Content is 50
If the content is less than 90% by weight, there is no effect, whereas if the content exceeds 90% by weight, the elongation and strength of the resulting plastic composition for modeling will decrease, which is not preferable.

Therefore, as mentioned above, the content of noble metal powder is 50 to 9
It was set as 0 double purchase%.

In addition, the average particle size of the noble metal powder to be added is 20011-
If it is thickened, the elastic composition for contrast imaging with noble metals will elongate and its strength will decrease, so it is preferably 200 μm or less.

However, if the amount added is less than 2% by weight of O, the effect cannot be obtained, while if it is added more than 8% by weight, the activity becomes too high and it becomes impossible to form. Therefore, as described above, the content of the water-soluble binder in the cell opening was set to 0.8 to 8% by weight. As the cellulose-based water-soluble binder, methylcellulose, ethylcellulose, etc. are preferable.

(e) FF, ffi activator By adding and mixing the surfactant, the solid particles produced by the reaction between the binder and water are crushed, and the precious metal powder and the binder are mixed together. The effect of improving the mixability can be obtained. However, if the amount of surfactant added is less than 0.03% by weight, the effect is not sufficient, whereas if the amount of surfactant added is more than 3% by weight, the resulting plastic 'MX composition for noble metal contrast imaging This is not preferable because the degree of acidity decreases and fluidity increases, making it impossible to perform contrast imaging. Therefore, as mentioned above, the amount of surfactant added is 0,
03 to 3% by weight.

(d) Fats By adding a small amount of fats and oils, it is possible to prevent the plastic composition for true metal modeling from adhering to hands during modeling. However, if the amount added is less than 0.1% by weight, the effect cannot be obtained; on the other hand, if it is added more than 3111% (by weight), the plastic composition for precious metal modeling becomes oily and slippery, and This is not preferable because it impairs workability. Therefore, as mentioned above, the content of oil and fat is limited to 0.1 to 3%.

First, a flammable tree leaf 1 as shown in FIG. 1(a) is prepared as a base. In this case, a tree fit is selected that has a leaf vein pattern as clear as possible on the surface. Next, as shown in FIG. 1 (B), the plastic composition for modeling containing pure gold powder obtained by the method described above is spread thinly by hand on the surface of the leaf L, and shaped into the outer shape of the leaf L using a bamboo spatula or the like. Unnecessary plastic composition is removed along the line to create a molded body 2 having the same shape as the leaf I. Then, as shown in FIG. 1(c), this molded body 2 is placed in an electric furnace 3 and heated in air at 1000° C. to undergo solid phase sintering. Regarding the sintering conditions in the electric furnace 3, in the case of a plastic composition containing pure gold, it is sufficient to heat it in air at 1000°C.
In the case of a plastic composition containing alloy metals of so-called K]8 mixed in a ratio of wtL 12 , 5 vtL = 12 , 5 vt%, in argon gas 800
Just heat it at ℃. In this sintering process, Konoha 1
Most of it is lost through combustion. Although a slight ashy residue is produced, this residue can be easily removed. As a result, the desired metal article 4 having the fine vein pattern on the surface of the leaf l as shown in FIG. 1(d) is completed.

If you want to copy a leaf vein pattern on both sides of the metal article 4, spread a thin layer of plastic material on the surface of the leaf 1 as shown in Figure 1 (b), and then apply another leaf on the surface. It can be placed on top, sandwiched between two wooden leaves, and then sintered.
