Abstract

PURPOSE:To adjust contact pressure between a brush and a dirt pan and to control cleaning power by moving a pinion to a gear face and back of a rack gear only by normal and reverse revolution of a driving motor and adjusting height of the rack gear. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 4, namely a brush 6 is moved to a gear face and back of a rack gear only by normal and reserve revolution of a driving motor and height of the rack gear 7 is adjusted so that contact pressure between the brush 6 and a dirt pan 20 can be adjusted. Further when contact pressure between the rack gear 7 and the pinion is strengthened, cleaning powder is increased and when is weakened, the cleaning power is also reduced. In this case, since force of removing the pinion 4 from the rack gear 7 is proportional to the contact pressure, meshing of the rack gear 7 with the pinion 4 will not come off.

Initially, the pinion (ie, brush) is parked at the upper (behind the teeth) end of the rack gear. Before starting cleaning, first, wash water is flowed from the washing water port, and the animal waste that has fallen on the bottom of the waste receiving tray is washed away to the drain port located at the end. Next, the traveling frame is moved backward, so that the urging force of the urging means is not applied, and the brush is brought to a free height. When the traveling frame is moved forward in this state, the pinion comes into contact with the inclined surface of the end of the rack gear and eventually meshes with the teeth of the rack gear.

Then, the brush rotates and scrubs the surface of the dirt tray in the direction of movement, cleaning it. When the pinion reaches the rear end of the rack gear, the pinion contacts the flexible stay and pushes up the flexible stay to stop it at the end of the saucer. At this position, the biasing force by the biasing means does not act and the height is at a free level. Next, when cleaning is completed, the entire traveling frame is moved back toward its original position, but at this time the pinion rides on the flexible stay, and the brush eventually passes over the rack gear and comes into contact with the dirt tray that has been cleaned. Return to the original position without any hesitation.

Next, as shown in FIG. 4, the traveling frame 1 has a shaft 12.
Metal fittings 14 and 15 are fixed vertically, and a moving metal fitting 16 and a coil spring 17.17 are fitted onto these shafts 12.13. The pinion 4 fitted on the shaft 5 is pressed by the urging force of these urging means and meshed with the rack gear 7. Therefore, when installing the rack gear 7, adjusting the height to the lower side of the plate 8 increases the vertical engagement pressure between the pinion 4 and the rack gear 7, or in other words, the contact pressure between the brush 6 and the bottom surface 20 of the dirt tray, and the rack gear 7 is installed. When the height is adjusted to the upper side of the plate 8, the contact pressure between the brush 6 and the dirt receiving tray floor 20 becomes weaker. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the contact pressure depending on whether dirt is difficult to remove or dirt is easy to remove.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing the state of both ends of the rack gear 7. That is, as shown in (a), a slope 7a is formed on the inlet side of the rack gear 7, and when the pinion 4 comes into contact with the slope 7a, the pinion 4 meshes with the tooth surface. Further, a flexible stay 18 is rotatably attached to the exit side of the lug gear 7, and when the pinion 4 comes into contact with the flexible stay 18, (
The flexible stay 18 rotates and rises from the state b) as shown in (c), and when the pinion 4 is removed, it returns to its original position due to gravity. Although the traveling frame 1 is not shown, there is a traveling unit attached to the top (for example, a device that pulls the entire traveling frame by a chain drive).
It is pulled and driven back and forth.

As shown in FIG. 6, initially the pinion 4 (i.e., the brush 6
) is waiting at position ■. Before starting washing, first, washing water is flowed from the washing water port 22, and the animal waste that has fallen on the bottom of the waste receiving tray is washed away to a drain port (not shown) at the end. Next, the traveling frame 1 is moved backward, and the pinion 4 is applied to the stop plate 23 at the position (3), and the flyer 6 on the rack gear 7 is lowered to the free height H. Furthermore, bring it to the position (■) to ensure that the free height is H, and then stop the retreat. When the traveling frame 1 is moved forward in the state (2), the pinion 4 comes into contact with the inclined surface of the inlet (2) of the rack gear 7, and eventually meshes with the teeth of the rack gear 7. Then, the brush 6 rotates and moves while scrubbing the surface of the dirt receiving tray in the direction of movement, cleaning it. When the pinion 4 reaches the rear end of the rack gear 7, it comes into contact with the flexible stay 18 and the flexible stay 1
Push up 8 and stop it at position ■. In this position (■), the brush 6 is in contact only with the brush bearing 19 (see FIG. 4), but when the dirt on the brush surface is cleaned with the cleaning water sprayed from the cleaning nozzle 24 in this state, the brush 6 itself also begins to rotate. Due to this action, not only the entire circumference of the brush 6 can be cleaned, but also the centrifugal force caused by the rotation blows off solid matter adhering to the brush toward the outer circumference, thereby cleaning the entire brush 6. Next, when cleaning is completed, the entire traveling frame 1 is moved back toward its original position, but at this time, the pinion 4 rides on the flexible stay 18 (
The brush 6 passes over the rack gear 7 and returns to the original position ■ without coming into contact with the dirt tray 20 that has been cleaned.
Return to position.

The embodiment of the present invention has been described above, but as a further modification, the rack gear and pinion may be arranged only on one side of the dirt receiving tray. Furthermore, this dirt tray cleaning device can be widely used not only for experimental animals related to pharmaceuticals but also for rearing a large number of animals side by side.

Since the apparatus for cleaning a dirt tray for an animal breeding container according to the present invention has the structure described in detail above, the pinion, that is, the brush 6 can be moved to the tooth surface and the back surface of the rack gear 7 simply by the forward and reverse rotation of the drive motor. I can do it. Further, by adjusting the height of the rack gear 7, the contact pressure between the brush 6 and the dirt receiving tray 20 can be adjusted. Furthermore, if the contact pressure between the rack gear 7 and the pinion 4 is increased, the cleaning power will also be increased.
If the contact pressure is weakened, the cleaning power will also be weakened. In this case, the force with which the pinion 4 tries to disengage from the rack gear 7 is also proportional to the contact pressure, so the rack gear 7 and the pinion 4 will never come out of engagement in any case. Furthermore, since the dirt washed by the brush is rapidly sent in the unwashed direction, the washed dirt tray becomes cleaner than the conventional one.
