従来、液晶表示装置の回路基板の固定方法としては、第
7図・第8図に示すように、回路基板をその下部に位置
するケースにネジによって固定していたものが一般的に

固定するケースの温度変化等による伸縮、または液晶表
示体の移動などの回路基板以外のずれに対しては配慮が
なされておらず、振動・衝撃が液晶表示装置に加わり液
晶表示体が移動してしまった場合、一方の回路基板はケ
ースに固定されているため液晶表示体と回路基板との位
置にずれが生じて、液晶表示体を駆動させるために駆動
■Cを搭載したフレキシブル基板に、ずれによって生じ
る負荷が加わってしまう、また回路基板を固定している
ケースが温度変化等によって伸縮して、ケースに固定さ
れている回路基板も一緒に移動してしまい液晶表示体と
回路基板との位置にずれが生じてしまう。 この結果
フレキシブル基板と液晶表示体の接続に使われている異
方性導電接着剤の接続不良、またはフレキシブル基板の

示装置において、前記回路基板の固定を回路基板上にゴ
ム等を取り付けて金属フレームで加圧し固定したことを

以下、本発明を実施例に基づき、より具体的に説明する
。第1図・第2図は本発明の基本的な考え方を示す正面
図と縦断面図で、C0M側の回路基板3上にゴム8を取
り付けた一例である。液晶表示体1に接続されるフレキ
シブル基板2には、液晶表示体1の駆動用ICが搭載さ
れており、この駆動用ICに接続された一方側の出力端
子が異方性導電接着剤によって液晶表示体1に熱圧着等
によって接続される、もう−吉例の入力端子は半田付け
によって回路基板3に接続されている、液晶表示体1と
フレキシブル基板2と回路基板3が一体となった後液晶
表示体1を不図示ケースにセットする、この時液晶表示
体1は両面テープにより不図示ケースに固定され、回路
基板3の固定には回路基板3上にゴム8を取り付け、そ
の後金属フレーム4を取り付ける、この時ゴム8に金属
フレーム4からの圧力が加わり回路基板3の固定を行う
。この時のゴム8の素材としては弾力性に富み、ガラス
と接する表面部分が滑りにくいものを使用する。例えば
、低価格、加工が容易、取扱が簡単であるシリコン系の
