As shown in FIG. 1, conventionally, a deposit disbursing machine 1 using a public line 8 has a display 2 for instructing to insert a card, etc., and a screen for inputting a PIN number, payment amount, etc.
A key input section 3, a card or passbook insertion/removal section 4 for inserting a card or passbook, a deposit payment section 5, a main control section 6, and a transmitting/receiving section 7 for communicating with the center computer via a public line. It's summery. In order for a customer to receive a deposit payment,
As shown in the flowchart of Fig. 2, insert the card or passbook into the card or passbook insertion/removal section 4 according to the instructions on the display 2, and press the KEY input section 3.
The customer input 13 is input into the main control unit 6 by pressing the KEY and inputting the password, payment amount, etc. The main control section 6 determines that the customer input 13 is completed, and based on this signal, the transmitting/receiving section 7 connects to the transmitting/receiving section 10 of the center 9 via the public line 8. At this time, the transmitter/receiver section 7 is connected to the public line to activate the exchange of the public line, and then automatically sends out one of the numbers of the multiple stations connected to the center 9 and calls the center 9. A connection is made. If the station is busy, the numbers of other stations are automatically sent out as necessary. If the connection is not established for a predetermined period of time due to busyness, etc., an NG process is performed, for example, the card inserted by the customer is returned and the customer is set to the initial state. As described above, the main control unit 6 of the deposit dispensing machine 1 and the computer 11 of the center 9 are connected via a public line, and the main control unit 6 transmits data such as the amount input by the customer to the computer 11. Requesting the computer 11 of the center 9 to determine whether it is okay to pay this amount of deposit,
The computer 11 checks the customer's deposit balance etc. stored in the file 12, and transmits instruction information on permission or disapproval of deposits and payments to the main control section 6, and the main control section 6 receives the instruction information on permission or disapproval. After reception is complete, the connection to the public line will be canceled. The main control unit 6 then performs the latter half of the process according to instruction information from the center computer. For example, when there is instruction information for deposit payment, the deposit payment unit 5 pays the deposit amount specified by the customer, and the card or passbook is returned by the card or passbook insertion/removal unit 4.

As explained above, in conventional deposit payment machines that use public lines, the connection to the public line is started after all customer input is completed, and after the public line is connected, the computer at the center asks whether the deposit can be paid or not. was seeking a judgment. Therefore, after the customer completes their input, they have to wait on average about 30 seconds while the public line is connected, and the deposit machine uses the specific line connected to the center's computer. In contrast, deposit payment machines that use public lines have had the problem of reduced processing capacity per unit time for deposit payments.

(C) Object and structure of the invention In a deposit payment method using a public line, at least when the transaction card and PIN entered by the customer are correct, the public line connection and other inputs by the customer are connected. The purpose is to reduce the time required for deposit payment processing by processing in parallel and correctly dealing with the difference in completion time of each processing of the connection and the input. Therefore, the deposit payment processing method of the present invention includes: a customer input section for input by the customer; a public line connection section that connects to a computer at the center via a public line based on the input signal from the customer input section; In the deposit payment system, the deposit payment method includes a transmitting/receiving section that transmits and receives predetermined information to and from a computer at the center via a public line, and a deposit paying section that performs deposit payments based on signals from the transmitting/receiving section. a parallel processing unit that starts line connection by the public line connection unit when the transaction card and PIN of the customer are correct, and also stores and processes other customer input from the customer input unit; and a line from the line connection unit. If the customer input is completed before the connection is completed, wait for the connection of the line to be completed, and if the line connection is completed before the customer input is completed, perform dummy transmission and wait for the completion of the customer input. The present invention is characterized in that it has a transmitting/receiving section that transmits and receives predetermined information to and from a computer at the center via a public line, and the deposit paying section that performs deposit payments based on signals from the transmitting/receiving section.

In the deposit payment machine 1 according to the present invention, for example, when a card transaction is selected, the transaction selection button is pressed and a predetermined card is inserted (13-1).
Then, the user inputs the password from the KEY input section 3 (13-2). The input password is checked, and if it is correct (YES in 14), the next connection process activation 15 is performed. The connection process activation 15 puts the public line exchange into operation, dials the center number, calls the center, and connects the public line.
On the other hand, from the KEY input section 3, other customer input 13

For example, the payment amount is input, and when the input is completed (YES in 16-1), the customer's input information is sent from the deposit dispensing machine 1 to the computer 11 of the center (17). The computer 11 at the center sends the determination result for the customer's input to the deposit dispensing machine 1 and receives it (18). After the reception is completed, the connection to the public line is released, and the second half process 19 described above is performed as in the conventional case.

Customer input information from the input/output section of the deposit dispensing machine 1, such as key-in signals such as a card insertion signal, a PIN number, and a payment amount, is stored in the main control section 6, and is processed based on instructions from the main control section 6. , the NCU adapter 24-1 is connected to the network control unit (NCU) 24-2.
is activated to connect the deposit disbursing machine 1 and the center 9 via the telephone exchange network 8-1. The main control unit 6 of the deposit dispensing machine 1 transmits necessary digital information about the customer to the modem 2 through the line control unit 25-1.
-2, modulates it into a serial signal, and sends it out to the public line. On the other hand, the transmitting/receiving section 10 of the center demodulates the received serial signal using the modem 25-3 and inputs necessary digital information regarding the customer to the main control section. The main control unit refers to the customer's deposit balance, etc., determines whether or not to approve the deposit payment, and transmits this information to the line control unit 25-4, modem 25-3, telephone exchange network 8-1, modem 25-2, line control unit It is sent to the main control section 6 of the deposit dispensing machine 1 via the section 25-1.
Based on this information, the deposit dispensing machine 1 pays the deposit, returns the card, etc. to the customer via the input/output section.

(E) Effects of the Invention As explained above, according to the present invention, in a deposit payment method where a deposit is paid by communicating with a center using a public line, at least when the transaction card and PIN entered by the customer are correct. Another advantage is that the public line connection and other customer inputs, such as the payment amount, are processed in parallel, thereby reducing the time required for deposit payment processing. This improves the ability of the deposit dispensing machine to pay deposits per unit time.
