Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to eliminate static electricity generated at the time of printing easily by a method wherein the running surface of an ink ribbon is made of a metal, and this metal is connected with a control unit for grounding. CONSTITUTION:For an ink ribbon 1, a metal is provided on the running surface, and at both sides of an opening for printing head, in which a printing head is positioned when the title ribbon cartridge is installed in a thermal-transfer printer, a pair of metal plates 3a, 3b are provided. The ink ribbon 1 slides with the metal plates 3a, 3b, and the metal plates 3a, 3b come into contact with a cartridge guide 10 which is stood on a carrier frame 9 for positioning of an ink ribbon cartridge 8. Also, the carrier frame 9 is connected with a face ground of a printed circuit board for controlling. By this method, static electricity charged on the ink ribbon can be ground-eliminated.

印字部での貼り付き、シワの発生およびインクリボンに
帯電した静電気の放電により印字ヘッドが破壊されると
いう欠点が有る。
